Nauseated 24/7 - Largo,FL

I am nauseated 24 hours a day 7 days a week. I never had anything like this with my son. I had night sickness with him. I would get sick from 7-10 p.m. but as far as the rest of the day I felt great! I started to feel like this 3 weeks before I found out I was pregnant and now with each day it seems like it is getting worse. What does this mean?

What can I do next?

Hi C., how are you? Unfortunately I have no good news other than it is normal for some women to have this kind of 'morning/all day' sickness. Maybe it means you are having a girl :)

When I was pregnant with my daughter, I was sick the better part of the day, certain smells would trigger me, I would have to drive to work with a couple of bags next to me just in case I had to throw up.

Good news ... by the 5 month it subsided and I have a beautiful little girl who is PERFECT (of course!)

Cheer up and good luck!

Congratulations! I was nautious almost my entire pregnancy. I found that switching my prenatal vitamins helped. I was sensitive to the Iron content. Also, be sure to not let yourself get too hungry...always have a cracker on hand. Oh-and check out your lactose intolerance....I had to eat Lactaid with anything that had lactose in it. Good luck!

C.,
This can be very normal in your first trimester however, I would talk to your OB about it. My friend had this and it wound up lasting her entire pregnancy and the dr. gave her some safe medicine that worked and it was great because then she could function. I also recently experienced this in my 3rd trimester and my dr. also gave me something that helps.

I agree with pp, make sure to not have an empty stomach because that makes it worse. Drink lots of fluids and eat a bit of something every 20 minutes or so.

Good luck

Congradulations!! This is normal. With my daughter I was only nauseated here and there mostly caused by the smell of certain foods like popcorn. Imagine having to work every morning at Target. I would walk by the food center while they were popping popcorn.
Now with my second I was nauseated all day like you. I was so nauseated I was hoping to get sick and get it over with. Nothing helped. Crackers only made it worse.
After the 1st trimester it will get easier if not go away completly. Hang in there
