Hi Mp!
I'm learning quite a bit about nutrition, etc but use a wonderful reference book called: Build A Better You...
Under Nausea and Vomiting, Dr. Brouse has written:
Nausea is an uneasy stomach and the urge to vomit. It can be accompanied by abdominal pain, an intolerance of certain smells and/or cramping. Vomiting can follow and is often a natural defense that protects the body from harmful substances. It is caused by contractions of the abdominal muscles, forcing stomach contents to be eliminated through the mouth. Nausea and vomiting can be caused by pregnancy, motion sickness, food poisoning, viral or bacterial infection, emotional stress, bowel distress (constipation or diarrhea), chemical exposure and/or allergic response. Bacterial or toxins they produce cause food poisoning. Viral infections usually have other symptoms, such as a fever. Dehydration and electrolyte imbalance can be serious effects of vomiting and diarrhea and must be addressed, especially in children and older people...
My notes: In reference to chemical exposure, not many people think about the cleaning products in their home. Try to remember exactly what you were doing or where you were shortly before you start feeling nausea. It may help to watch the following 30-minute video - If you are in fact, reacting to your cleaning products, just imagine what your wee one is going through...

To find out what’s lurking on your shelves, go to the National Institutes of Health Library of Medicine Household Products Database. You can search almost any brand of cleaner you use, find out what’s in it, and uncover its links to health effects. Or search by chemical ingredients (see list below for some examples) and discover what brands contain it. The information may shock you. http://www.householdproducts.nlm.nih.gov/ingredients.htm
