Morning sickness is a big killer during pregnancy. I hate it! I've had it with all 4 of my children. It's a terrible feeling. I had to find other ways as well besides crackers..I was sick of them too. :)
Here are some things I've tried. Each pregnancy was different, but...maybe these might work for you. Good luck!
Ginger Ale
Seabands(you were them on your wrist- maybe worked on me for 30-45minutes)
Unisom with Vitamin B6(ask your OB/GYN first)
Snacking on healthy snacks..helps(even bad ones, but limit them)-popcorn, Ritz crackers)
Inhaling fruit smells (slowly)
Drinking lemonade
Nuts
sleeping or laying down when you can
*Your "evening" sickness sounds like your body is now pooped out and ready to rest...just listen to your body. If you NEED to sit..and relax..do it..if you fight with your "morning sickness/evening sickness) you don't win..and it makes it worse.
Good luck! Hang in there.
Ginger candy or Ginger ale will help with nausea. Also take a B6 vitamin and 1/2 a unisom. It really helps with nausea due to pregnancy. I also noticed with this last pregnancy that it was my prenatal vitamin that was making me very sick. So I started cutting the pill in half and took half at lunch and half at bedtime. That took away all my nausea! I had to half the pill until around 15 weeks into my pregnancy then I could start taking it whole again.
I have had 5 kids... nausea with all of them. The three things that helped (each pregnancy was different but at least one of these always helped) were peanut butter, lemon anything (lemonade, lemon candy, even lemon gum!), and ginger ale. Crackers did NOTHING for me ever! Good luck!
You know, Ive always had evening sickness when I was pregnant. I try to cook the main meal early in the day so I dont have to cook in the evening,, so my husband and kids can just go over and heat up their plate. Make sure u take your vitamin at your biggest meal of the day so they dont further upset your stomach, and make sure you alway shave a little some thing on your stomach. It gets worse if its empty. I have used small amounts of Gravol or (Dramamine), or equivalent motion sickness tablet in the later evening when nauseated. Its safe to take in small doses, but it will make you drowsy! Hope this helps.
I used to put a slice of lemon in a baggie and carry it with me! Just smelling it would help me feel better. So did lemonade and caffeine-free coke or sprite. I drink ginger ale when I'm sick but found the flavor too strong early in by pregnancy. I also found that it helped if I ate something like a granola bar or cereal bar before I even got out of bed. Also - really plain pancakes or biscuits. I usually eat whole wheat stuff but when I was nauseated, something bland was much easier to stomach. Really lean protein like ground turkey in pasta sauce. Seabands helped a little. And remembering to eat before I got hungry helped a lot. By the time I got really hungry I would feel too sick to eat and it would just get worse.
Good luck and hang in there! Congratulations on your pregnancy, too. :)
I had to sip on Coke or gingerale almost all day long to keep the nausea at bay. Also, I had peanut butter and crackers to give me a little protein.
My friend always found relief when she would smell a nectarine.
oatmeal got me through. :)
I would constantly snack on a baggie of cheerios. It seemed to help a little. What i really noticed was, i needed to snack all day. If i let myself get the least bit hungry, i would get sick :(
Candy Canes - Peppermint. I too am pregnant the second time around. The first was a breeze, and I was never sick. This time, I'm 10 weeks today, and am sick nearly every day still. The best thing for me has been candy canes. It is an almost instant relief. Luckily i found out on 12/31 an the stores were full of candy canes still. But, peppermint candy should help as well. FYI - i also take my vitamin before bed.
Ginger ale or sour candies, like Lemonheads or Sweet Tarts helped me. Congratulations!
PS - if you think it's your vitamins/iron, try taking at night.
I had alot of nausea all day w/my second baby...and tums did nothing and I was eating them by the boat load! Finally I got on Nexium....for Heartburn/Nausea......it worked great for the Nausea and not to mention the Heartburn!
Wow, hate that feeling, but everyone is different. It will pass. Mine was so bad i dehydrated twice. It was caused by my vitimans and iron pills. duh took them long enough to figure it out.. lol.. someone told me that popsicles or ice cold sweet tea. Change up on the crackers, try different brands and flavors. Congrats....
I have used no to morning sickness tea to settle my morning sickness and severe nausea all the time. It worked wonder and eased me instantly.
