My opinion is to do whatever makes you look most presentable. First impressions can speak a lot.
Hey ladies. So I'm going to a job fair tomorrow and I have a slight dilemma. I'm in the middle of transitioning my hair. For those that don't know what that is, no more relaxers, flat irons, blow dryer, things of that nature. Although I can make my hair look good while transitioning, I'm not sure if society is ready for it, at least not in the work force. So my question is, should I represent myself as is, or should I put my silky wig on? Lol. What would you do?
Thanks a lot ladies. As always, I appreciate the feedback. I think I'm going to go with the wig. Don't worry, I'll make sure its on straight. LOL.

You should put your wig on. In a perfect world people would be able to overlook crazy hair as a part of you or your self expression. The reality of it is that we are judged and assessed within the first minute of meeting someone based on our appearance. Therefore when you are looking for a job it is vital to do everything possible to look the part.
For an interview it would be best to look your best. You can go "normal" after you land the job. Presentation is "everything" in our judgmental society.
LOL you're so cute!!... I personally love the natural look, and you're right, there are definately ways of making it look good. My cousins girlfriend was too tired with 2 kids to relax her hair every day and finally waved that little white flag of surrender and went natural. I think it looks so much better on her!! Do whatever makes you feel most confident... you don't want to go into an interview worrying about super frizz or if your wigs on straight, LOL! Confidence is key. Whatever you decide, I hope you rock the interview! Good luck!
I say wear your hair the way you want to wear it. I'd go with whatever is more comfortable for you and makes you feel your best. Good luck at the job fair!
Present yourself as you will on the job.
I once interviewed a young woman for a position who had natural hair. She put her hair into neat, mid-sized twists and pined in back - keeping the look proffessional. Then she wore a more conservative navy blue suit and pearl earrings - completing the look.
A wig might make me wonder if there's an issue that requires you to cover your hair/head. So, be you, but modify with a professional appearance.
I think you can look at it two ways.
1: I am not willing to work in a place where my current look might impact my chance for success to begin with, so I will go natural
2: I need the job so I will temporarily conform by wearing my silky wig to make sure there are not impediments to my success.
My actions would depend on how much I needed the job. If I already had a job and was looking for a better job, I would go with option 1.
If I didn't have a job and needed one, I would go with option 2.
