If you choose to vaccinate, you can try spreading them out more. This should help to minimize the after-affects. Dr. Sears has awesome vaccination information in his "The Vaccine Book". He is not anti-vaccines by any means but he suggests parents read up on each vaccine and make their own decision vaccine by vaccine.

Also, you're right to avoid Tylenol around vaccines. It actually makes it harder for the baby's body to process and get rid of the vaccine's toxins.

I also noticed a homeopathic product for after vaccinations at the health food store, but I don't remember it's name. We choose to delay our daughters shots, and have had no problems because of it. And have done so under our Doc supervision.

Please, I urge you to possibly look at an alternative schedule to vaccines. Even if you put the shots off for a couple more weeks to do some research - you are a SAHM so he won't be subjected to all the viruses that go around a day care. Especially because it sounds like he's already suffered from vaccine injury. We owe it to our children - we are their only defense.

I posted the other question about reactions to immunizations a few days ago. I found this book called "Natural Baby and Childcare" by Lauren Feder - it is REALLY amazing and is FULL of homeopathic remedies. And I also ordered her "The Parent's Guide to Childhood Vaccinations" but I haven't gotten it yet. She recommends a week before the shots alternating days of Briar Rose and Black Currant which are available on her website:

I couldn't find them at any of the local places here, usually Zerbos on Plymouth Rd. in Livonia is a great source. Anyway, I ordered them off her site, I can't say that they help or not yet because I haven't tried them but every kid is different anyway so maybe check out her site and for sure the Natural Baby book, you can get used copies on Amazon. She is a homeopathic MD and she lists every child ailment and the regular MD recommended treatment and then the homeopathic recommendation. Her directions are all very specific, for example for colic there are different herbs for if the child experiences it more at night, do they arch their back when they are crying it may be one herb and if they want to be held its another herb, if they don't want to be held its something else, its really amazing. At Harvest Health they have a couple of options for remedies that will ease side effects of vaccines. My daughter is not vaccinated yet (almost 3 years old) but when we do get some I will definitely buy some of that to help her through it. Ask any one who works there and they can help you find what you need. There are three in the grand rapids are - just google harvest health.

You could call the Healthy for Life Clinic. They have naturopaths working there who use natural remedies and homeopathic remedies. The number is ###-###-####. Naturopathically speaking, we don't use any vaccinations though. However, I am sure they could assist you in a remedy to use after the vaccines.

It just shocks me that these newborns are given so many shots of inactive viruses and their bodies are supposed to handle all of them? Crazy. Your little one had some at 2 months and again at 4? I forget. We didn't start our kids until 9 months when their bodies are stronger and than I spaced them out. I don't understand why this isn't the norm. Try spacing it out so it's less of an issue. I never gave my kids anything. It was never an issue. They had zero reaction. My kids still haven't needed any Tylenol or Motrin. They are 5 and 8.

I would strongly urge you to consult with your dr. before giving your baby any homeopathic drugs or herbs or anything. Sometimes theses can be more dangerous than mediciations.

I usually gave my daughter a dose of motrin (better than tylenol for pain) about an hour before the shots and than every six hours after that for the first 24 hours to keep her comfortable.

Nice warm baths help as well and moving their little legs up and down. I use California Baby Cold and Flu in the bath...it has a nice calming an soothing effect.

I would research the vcacinations first before giving them, then check with your local health food store of what they would advise they should have something.
