Naperville School Districts and Neighborhoods

Hi! We're looking at a possible move to Naperville in the spring. I see that there are a couple different school districts, but I can't figure out if it is Naperville in general that gets such a good report on their schools or if it is just district 203 schools. Does anyone have any input? Also, we really want to move to a child friendly neighborhood. Right now, all our neighbors are 15+ years older than us and I'd really like my twins (2 years old) to have playmates. Is there a particular area that you would recommend? I would appreciate any help!

Thank you!

What can I do next?

All of the Naperville Schools are excellent. I would recommend you check out a great little town within a town subdivision, it's called Hometown Aurora. It's in the Naperville School Dist I believe and it is a large family friendly subidvision that is like a little town of it's own. It has it's own ice cream parlor, the homes face each other on a courtyard and the cars drive down the alleyway behind the houses to their two and half car garages. There are numerous parks, a community center, the whole area is clean and well kept. They guarentee energy efficent homes, It's developed by Bigelow Builders. They were advertising $500 down and mtg payments were est at about $800 a month not that long ago so I don't know what it is now but it's the most family friendly community I know of. You can actually walk down the streets without living in fear! Hope you like it as much as I do. I don't live there but if I had a family, it is where I would want to live.

Hi C.!

Good luck in the big move! As I am sure you know there are two districts in Naperville, 203 and 204. Are you looking on the north or south side of Naperville? Both are great districts as they work together and share info. The south side is newer homes and subdivisions. With this being said...you will most certainly find younger children. The homes are quite large and expensive but the neighborhoods are very nice. I taught in Naperville for many years and chose to stay in Carol Stream dist 25 due to its outstanding programs, staff and academic records! There is something to be said for a small dist. I would not want my children anywhere else!

Good luck!

Hi C.,

My name is J. Whitney and I am with Prudential Real Estate. I realize that you had mentioned that you would be possibly making a move next spring, but I just wanted to introduce myself and let you know that at any time, we could set you up to receive information on homes within your specific criteria (number of bedrooms, baths, garage, price, even school districts) and you could get this information automatically emailed to you as the new listings come on the market. It is a great way to keep your eye on the market so you can also get an idea of what you can get for your money.

Let me know if you would be interested in receiving this information. Either way, I would love the opportunity to earn your business when you decide to start looking. You can email me at ____@____.com or call me at ###-###-####. Feel free to check out our website at www.jenniferwhitney.com. Thanks C.,

You currently live in the Lake In The Hills/Huntley area? If so, when the school year begins, there is a Parent/Tot Center for 0-almost 4 years old. It is a great place for parents' to get to see and talk with other adults and for the little ones to get to experience other kids and toys.

I would suggest the basics of going to the parks (any in the surrounding areas), McDonald's play lands, Spring Hill Mall and there is a play area then there are coined rides, Randall Oaks for a petting Zoo (Randall Rd/Binnie by Woodman's), pools with a friend to have help with 2, library for kid times, apple orchard's, pumpkin farms, and the like.

At least this may give 1 new idea for you. I know that you can go to the city too for the ZOO, SHEDD Aquarium, and other museum types.

Good Luck.
