P.S.
Wow, he must be a growing little guy b/c that's how babies grow - by eating and sleeping.
I remember those days of 2 or 3 naps plus sleeping through the night. I had no idea what to do with all that free time!
When do babies typically sleep less during the day? My 10 month old son usually falls asleep 2 hours after he wakes up. So say he wakes up from a nap at 1pm then he will take another one at 3. That's usually how it works. So he takes about 3 naps a day. Is that too much?
He gets up at 7. Then naps for an hour at 8:30. Then takes another nap at noon, for an hour or sometimes 2. Then he will probably take another like around 330 or 4, for another hour. Then bed at 8. Sleeps all night until 7 again.

Count your blessings!
My 10 month old DD is in the process of dropping her morning nap. So we'll be down to just 1.
My son did the same thing at 10 mos. :(
There's no "normal" here. Some kids need more sleep than others. Don't worry about it. If he's sleeping well at night, it's all good. Soak up the free time during the day!
Do a schedule and experiment.:)
"Too much sleep" in a 10 month old? No such thing! LOL
What time is he going to bed and what time is he getting up? If he's up at 7ish then he should be ready for a nap by 10ish, get up have lunch, play then nap again til about 3 or 4 then be in bed by what? 7:30ish?
My daughter is 11 months, and she slept this way at 10 months. This is a basic summary of her sleep, but it's not strictly scheduled...just kind of a routine and the time can give or take a bit:
Get up 8am-8:30am
Down for nap at 11am (sleep for 1 hour 15 minutes)
Get up
Down for second nap at 3pm (sleep for 1 hour 15 minutes)
Get up
Down and asleep by 8-8:15pm
If I left it up to her, she'd sleep for 6-7 hours during the day in a couple naps. Then she'd sleep broken up at night, being awake for a couple hours at a time. She started doing that around 7 months...and with three other kids, I had to figure out a better routine for her because I was hardly getting sleep!
I use babysleepsite.com to help gauge how much sleep, and when, for her age, and it has helped tremendously! Baby sleeps so much better...and so do I. With previous babies, I've just let them sleep when they seem tired and wake up when they want, but they didn't sleep well at night. Now looking back, I see it was because they slept too much during the day...not leaving enough night sleep for them.
Your baby seems to be doing pretty good. You give him an extra nap during the day that I don't give. But he also sleeps about an hour less at night than mine does, so they even out sleeping pretty similar amounts of time. But sleeping times can change per kid. Anyway, his sleep sounds good to me! I'd look at that site if you need more help as he gets older. It has great info - and it acknowledges that all kids are different and gives a couple different ideas per baby.
When they are growing they need a lot of sleep.
When my son started kindergarten the school wanted him in afternoon kindergarten because of the way the busses ran. It took everything I had to convince them to put him in morning kindergarten. He was an early riser and always took a 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon. Yes, at 5 yrs old he napped daily.
