I have an awesome homeday care that charges me $30/a day to watch my 6 month old twins. She watches them from 8-5, 3 days a week. She came up with the amount, and i think it is beyond resonable. I would come up with a number that you can afford and offer that and if you dont have any takers you may have to offer a little more.

Honestly? I think about $60.00 (or more) per day. I think your other answers are responding with amounts that are too little. It's a long day and you have two kids. If you think about it, if you pay her $60.00 a day; that's only $6.00 an hour. She could work a minimum wage job and earn more. Or you can look at it this way, could you live on less than $960.00 a month? You also get what you pay for.

In the Seattle area the going rate for a nanny caring for 2 kids is $15-20/hour.

I see questions pertaining to rates and some answers truly shock me that parents want to pay $3/hr for one child or that providers are willing to accept something so low. My 17 year old daughter is a hostess in a restaurant and she would make a minimum of $110 per day for this schedule (she even gets a lunch break and can go to the bathroom by herself here!!).

Definetely depends on where you live, what you are expected to do and what else is included. I think it would be fair to be paid between 6-12 dollars an hour. That is a broad range but I am pretty sure that the price of living is cheaper in Florida than it is here in the New York metro area. I pay my babysitter 8 dollars an hour but she does deals for parents of 2 kids. I think she charges them between 10-12 dollars. Some nannies make 40-50k though but that is pretty much fulltime.

In addition to what the other ladies say, I think it also includes exactly what you expect of the provider. If you're looking for a simple babysitter to stay in your house and watch your kids then depending upon where you live I think you can expect to pay anywhere from $400-600/wk. Remember you have not one, but two! If you want a certified nanny who will work on teaching them various skills then I would expect to pay far more in the range of $1,000+ a week. I don't know what other cities are like, but quality childcare is very expensive here. Professional nannies are making upwards of 50k/yr.

I would look into some sort of alternative care like an au pair through Cultural Care or something if I were you....it would be much cheaper ... if you have an extra bedroom in your home.

So are you the Nanny or you want a Nanny for your kids?

Try Google searching what is the going rate in your area.
Each State/region, differs.

There are per hour fees, or some do a Flat-rate.

That is 10 hours.

AND are meals and snacks included????

For my 18 month old niece, I charge $20 per day for up to 8 hours. $30 for an 8-12 hour day. $40 if they go over 12 hours. This is to discourage my brother from taking advantage of me since it's easy to do that with family. ;) I should add that I provide everything, including cloth diapers while she is in my care. :)
