Myrtle Beach Vacation

We are wanting to go to Myrtle Beach over Spring break in April. We do not want to spend a ton of money. I would like a place that has a full kitchen to save money vs. going out to eat. Would also like at least an ocean view. Just wondering if anyone knows of a nice place to stay that isn't too expensive. Would like to be less than $500.00 for the week. I have found a few places but not sure how nice they are. I would love a condo but I am not sure if that will fit into our budget. Any suggestions would be great.

Landmark Resorts...great kids water activities (full kids section with waterfalls, fountains and a lazy river/lots of hot tubs for the adults) and right on the beach in the middle of the strip. We stayed a couple of years ago for 9 nights in a suite with one bedroom with 2 double beds, full bath, seprate living room with murphy bed and full kitchen for $525. I think it technically slept 6. It was in early May. They had a deal where you buy 7 nights and get 2 free. Definately worth a look. We had an angle oceanview which meant when we sat on the porch we looked at the hotel next door but technically could see the beach...but it was so cheap!

We like North Myrtle Beach and always use www.condo-world.com. Their rates are very affordable and most of their condos are oceanfront.

Not trying to rain on your parade but $500 at Springbreak with an ocean view might be a little unrealistic. I find Hilton Head more family oriented than Myrtle Beach. Also remember colleges will be off as well! We stayed further down from Myrtle Beach and it was not as crowed. Didn't have an ocean view and had to cross a busy street to get to the beach. Again, much prefered Hilton Head Island.

North Myrtle and Surfside are also really nice.

Check out Ocean Creek! (It's right across from Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle. There are oceanfront towers as well as "lodge" condos that are only a short walk to the beach. Very family friendly! www.oceancreek.com
The prices are going to be more like 1000-1500 for the week though.
