both of my kids sweat a lot in their sleep. But my husband also sweats buckets, as does my SIL. I have chalked this up to a genetic trait they inherited from their father's side of the family. If he also snores loudly you may want to think about sleep apnea or enlarged tonsils, but otherwise, maybe it is just something related to him.

You mean he SWEATS?

My oldest son doesn't sweat in his sleep...my youngest does...our pediatrician said not to stress over it unless it turns into a fever....my boy is 9 (on the 9th of July!)

So in my opinion? don't stress!

Hi,
My 6 year old did this; soaking-wet-sweating in his sleep. He was recently diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea, and his physician mentioned that it is one of the symptoms (along with snoring, snorting and hyperactive behaviour).
Not to worry you, just our experience.

It's normal for kids and even some adults to sweat a lot (not allot or alot) in their sleep. Normal. Nothing to worry about. My 10 year old has always been like this since birth.

My son always did from the time he was an infant, and my nephew does as well, summer, winter, regardless of what they're wearing to bed. Their doctors are not concerned.
