I use free and clear type det. and I use less than the recommended amount. Also, skin problems may be food allergies and such. Good luck!
My son is 5 months and has a very sensitive skin i use only dreft laundry soap i need to know if there is another sensitive laundry detergent

All Free and Clear. My son has the same thing, we use the All Free and Clear and the same kind of Downy and he is fine. If we use anything else he gets a horrible rash. Good luck!

There is also Baby All-usually kept near the Dreft . It is a lot cheaper than Dreft. Hope that helps.

Try seventh generation -- much more affordable. Organic and extremely gentle as well.

I too use the Melaleuca detergent - only in liquid. My children are super sensitive and I really have to watch what I put on their skin and in the laundry. I can only use the chemical & dye free which leaves either Arbonne or Melaleuca. We have been free of rashes, etc for about 3 years now. If you have questions, let me know - ____@____.com
We have always used All Free/Clear. My husband has very sensitive skin and he has not had any luck with any other laundry soap. When my son was born I was going to buy Dreft for him, but I read in a parenting magazine that what we were using was just fine for babies.
As for a fabric softener, you can use "Downey FREE" this is free of all dyes etc... As for the detergent itself, what you are useing is good...if you want to switch, you can goto ALL FREE or Tide FREE - again, these are made without dyes, fragrance free etc. My daughter has very sensitive skin as well and she is 5yr, I still use Dreft. Good luck.
My daughter was very sensitve as a very young infant. I used Dreft too for a while. Then I discovered ALL free and clear. There are no fregrances or dyes in the detergant, and there are several different brands like this now. It worked great and was way less expensive. Hope that helps.
M.,
I also use the Melaleuca MelaPower detergent. It's wonderful, and you only use one ounce so the bottles last a LONG time! They have scent-free and a fresh scent, so there's something for everyone. My husband and daughter both have extremely sensitive skin, so we're very picky with what we use in our home. If you're local, I'd be more than happy to let you try mine and see what you think. I always have an extra bottle!
Good luck!

Hi M.,
I use Mela Power from Melaleuca. It has no abrasive or caustic chemicals in it. It is a laundry soap for the whole family (so you don't have to pay more for one for the baby) but sensitive enough for delicate baby skin because of the naturally derived surfactants.
If you don't already shop at Melaleuca, let me know and I can help you set up a customer account online.
Good Luck!

All makes a baby detergent. You may want to try that.
