I really need some advice. My son has taken to peeing in his room. About once a week he will pee on the carpet. He immediately tells us he did it, but I don't know why he is doing it. I have tried explaining that we don't do that but so far it hasn't seemed to help. Any advice would be appreciated

have you tryed talking to your son and asking him why he is doing that ?try asking him where is is a loud to go pee when he say the bathroom because he will.I would then tell him that he is not aloud to go pee on his floor if that dose not work start taking a way is fav toy
I think making him help clean it up will eventually stop the behavior. Just be consistant and have him clean it up everytime! L.
My son did this too. I think he was just curious about how it all works (besides trying to aim for the toilet sitting or standing). After cleaning up so many messes, I started having him help. I know this isn't the cleanest job, but he caughted on that this wasn't a fun task. I used this same tactic when he suddenly started over aim the toilet (standing and sitting). It worked then too.
I agree with the lady who said to have him "assist" in the clean up. I have twin boys who are 9 and don't always have "great aim" in the bathroom. I purchased those wipes and now it is their job to wipe around the toilet. They asked me "why do we have to do it?" and I explained that since I am the only "girl" in a house full of "boys" and I sit down when I pee - it must be one of them that has bad aim. Point taken, they now have better aim! LOL Best of luck! L. L.
