I would imagine it's a stomach virus. My kids just had it last Monday. No fever but puking a lot. It lasted a day. Make sure you get clear liquids in her. A nurse told me flat coke is great too. I did give them flat coke.
my 2 1/2 year old daughter woke up at 8:30 this morning and puked 4 times between 8:30 and 1:30. Its like cottage cheese looking and is also mucusy lookin too. She doesn't have a fever. Does anyone know what might be wrong?

I'm not a doctor and I can't say what is wrong...but from having two kids and calling the after hours nurse on several occasions I think I know what they might say. It's probably just a virus and as long as they don't have an extremely high fever that you can't get to drop and as long as they are drinking plenty of fluids they should be o.k because if they aren't drinking fluids and vomiting they can dehydrate. I would just let it run it's course. Good luck.
Take her to the Doctor.
They can do tests to see what she has....
Make SURE she does not get dehydrated... but when puking... a person cannot take in a lot of liquid at one time.... so just a tablespoon at a time.... slowly.
No clue what that could be, maybe something made her sick. Can her doctor see her today if you tell him/her what's going on?
Some moms have said it could be the flu (but no fever so maybe not) or a lactose intolerance? Could be gatsto related or something... it's chunky because there is probably stomach acid in it which curds milk in the stomach... has she drank any milk since dinner time yest?
Hi T.,
If she's had a sniffle or congestion, at 2 and a half, she is probably swallowing it. If that's the case it will make her throw up. Acid on the stomach (which is a good thing....it's to digest food) can cause some things to look like cottage cheese especially milk products. If there's no fever and she hasn't been exposed to anything it's possible it's something that simple.
If she's finished throwing up, I would suggest just watching her and making sure she doesn't get dehydrated. If she's still throwing up, there's something else going on. Know this doesn't help much..........

Rotavirus? Try giving very small amounts of gatorade - or breastmilk if still nursing. NOTHING ELSE. Give 4 oz every 2 hours. See if she can keep that down. No diarrhea or complaint of stomach cramps? No fever?
