Could be reflux. Congestion is a symptom for the little ones. My preemie had it real bad.. Have the dr do a reflux study.
My baby seems to be congested, sleepy, and has more spit bubbles coming out, could there be somthing wrong?
Well, she is completely fine, she went to her ped., I was also concerned about her outtie belly button, I thought she was in pain, I thought it looked herniated, oh my God, I felt soooooo stupid, she pushed her belly button in completely like a doorbell, I felt like a complete ass, I am new here and I appreciate all the feedback, thanks fellow mommies

Being a mom for the first time is so hard, and being a mom to a premi is even harder... I do think you should call your doctor, most premies lungs aren't developed and she could easy go from a chest cold to pneumonia quickly...
Hang in there, it does get easier...but you never stop worrying about them at any age...
Wow, I am surprised and disappointed at the 'yelling' and negative answers. Having a premature child is very stressful and VERY emotionally draining. This site is for HELPING. If you can't help, don't answer!
Best of luck L.. There are nice people on this site, so don't give up on it just yet. I agree with all that have said to call your dr as many times as needed. When I brought my son home from the NICU I had a million questions and our first pediatrician made me feed bad for calling (and I was not calling at odd hours!). I got some recommendations and found a new dr that we adore.
Being the mom of a premie is hard. If you have ANY questions, don't hesitate to call your doctor. Sometimes, it feels like you are being a pest but that is why you have a pediatrician and that is why you pay them. They work for you and they want to be sure they have answered all of your questions and that your baby is healthy. So call, and call again and call at 3 AM if you need to. It's all part of having a baby (and being a doctor).
Good luck!
Seriously, L., if you have questions about your baby's health, call your pediatrician or any emergency room. Don't hesitate to ask questions if you fell there is something wrong. THAT'S WHAT THEY ARE THERE FOR! NEVER THINK TWICE ABOUT CALLING WHEN YOUR CHILD'S HEALTH IS IN QUESTION!!!
L.,
If you are worried, Call the doctor NOW. You don't have to worry about asking too many questions. There are lots of variables with preemies----some lifethreatening, so please call your doctor now and see if this is normal for YOUR baby. GL

L.:
If you have ANY concerns contact your pediatrician immediately.
Other than that - if you are trying to get us mama's riled up...there's a popular saying - don't feed the trolls.
Call her/his doctor. Seriously.
From my experience with premature babies, they do sleep quite a bit.
The main thing here is if you think something is off. If you do, you need to take your baby in to see the doctor/pediatrician. Premature babies are more susceptible to illness, especially RSV. My twin boys were born 2 months premature, and had a month long stay in NICU. Any time I thought there was something off with one - or both - of them, I called the doctor or took him - or them - in. It was expensive, but worth it. If I thought there was something off, there usually was.
Please call your doctor and consult with him/her.
Good luck!
I agree that some of these answers are very rude.
I too am the mom of a premie. He's now 2 years old. I had ALOT of questions when I finally got to bring my baby home from the NICU.
I agree that your doctor is the one to ask if this is normal for your baby. I go to ThedaCare and have a MyThedaCare site that I can go to to email my baby's ped, but it's only an email and if they don't check it, my question doesn't get answered. I only use this for non-emergency questions.
How old is your baby? Could they be teething? I know that my son got congested when he was teething.
Check with the doc though if you really think something is wrong.
Good luck!
