My Husband Has Stickiness/sweating on Back of Neck- but Only on the Right Side.

My husband is getting stickiness/sweating on back of his neck and shoulder - but only on the right side. It started about 6 months ago and we really haven't found much on the web about it. For some reason, he refuses to see a doctor about it. He sweats normally most of the time, when exerting himself, but we could just be sitting and watching TV and he will notice that he is sweaty on the one side. Any one ever heard of this or have any ideas?

What can I do next?

hello
believe it or not... and some won't, some men can experience ANDROPAUSE.... yes, night sweats.. which of course, needn't just happen at night, however they are caused by a fluctuation in male hormones.. It isn't uncommon for men to experience hormone fluctuations throughtout life just as women do, but there isn't as much attention given to males on the topic.
For the heck of it, why not have your husband get some blood work done to make sure nothing is lurking in the bloodstream that shouldn't be. Additionally, keep in mind.. also good to get his thyroid checked.. matter a fact, when is the last time he had a fullblown physical.. some doctors (not all) sometimes blow off things that they themselves don't understand..

I would get more doctor opinions..
best of luck

I have never heard anything like this, but you may want to try to get him to see a doctor...even just for a yearly check up and bring it up! :)
Maybe there's a draft that hit his left side or he leans different not allowing the right side to be completely open to air. Maybe there's an issue or maybe there isn't. But very odd.

He should see an endocrinologist. Don't waste your time on other kinds of doctors, because it is an endocrine issue.

Sweating in that area is controlled by nerves in the neck and symptoms on only one side suggest that there might be some type of nerve damage. This could also be a symptom of a small stroke. These type of symptoms can also be idiopathic (meaning- not suggestive of any particular problem or disease). However, it's definitely worth seeing a doctor to get checked out and make sure there is nothing serious going on.
