Take her to her doctor AGAIN, explain what is happening, he/she should be able to tell you what to do. Don't be afraid or embarrassed to ask the doctor any concern or question you have. Write them down so you don't forget anything.

If she still is having problems, you need to contact the doctor again and get something else to treat her with. You don't want to get out of control and overrun her whole body with yeast. Hope this helps and she feels better soon!
Is she 6mo, 6yo, 16yo?
Was it a 1 day, 3day, 7day, 30day treatment?
Those things will all change what answer most of us would give... but the foundational one, is that WHENEVER symptoms persist, get back in touch with your doctor. Otherwise they have no way of knowing that the first round wasn't totally effective. They might change the med, have you go on a longer course of the same med, or have you change some other things / look for other things (allergies, for example, are a common cause of yeast infections... the allergy breaks the skin down and the yeast moves into the degraded skin. BUT allergies are nowhere near as common as a hormonal fluctuation in older kids, or diaper dampness degrading skin in infants).

How old is she. This is an important factor. Vaginal? Thrush? Tush?
Respectfully, if you have never given an enema before, don't do that. You don't say how old your daughter is, but I don't think an emema given by an inexperienced mom is a good idea.
Has she been eating yogurt? Give her yogurt to eat.
You DO need to take her back to the doctor. Ask about the enema and acidopholus. Perhaps he could have the nurse give her the enema.
Mimi is giving you really good advice too. Changing her diet is something you can do to help and you should. But get her back to the doctor.
Good luck!

In a container the size you would soak your feet, put two cups of white vinegar . Then fill with warm water in the tub . Set it in the tub and let her sit and soak in it for 10 minutes twice a day . The nurse told me to do this for my daughter . It really works. I agree with having her eat yoghurt daily if possible . Also, they say eating alot of sugar can also cause this besides having too many antibiotics. We also take florastor when on an antibiotic to keep the good bacteria .Its over the counter. Good luck ;0)
You don't mention her age, but babies can have yeast in their mouths (that's the white stuff that builds up on their tongues) and especially on the genital area. It can be on the anus too. She may need a different medicine or another dose. My 13 year old had a yeast infection. It went away for about two weeks then returned. She had to be retreated, as the one dose didn't work. She was given the oral pill, not the vaginal cream with insertion tube. Her swimming every other day didn't help matters either.
If you can see signs of yeast (either vaginally or in the mouth) then her entire body is eaten up with yeast. It breeds from the inside out. The ONLY way to get rid of it is to starve it...from the inside out. Remove ALL sugar from her diet., even white bread and white potatoes. I know that is hard in a culture of hamburgers and fries but it really is the only way to start. You also need to put her on a probiotic/prebiotic. That will speed up the process. There is no way to get rid of yeast overnight I don't care what your doctor has told you. The meds don't work...or if they relieve symptoms they don't get rid of the yeast, they simply postpone the inevitable.
It should take about 90 to 120 days if you follow this routine. She will not only feel better once this is done but you will have avoided numerous health problems to come!
God bless!

When she takes a bath, mix a cup of plain yogurt into it.
The skin loves it and it really helps keep the yeast in check.
The one thing I didn't see mentioned is that yeast can live in your towels and on her panties through the washer and dryer so it is super important to add 1 cup of vinager to the rinse cycle of your laundry until this clears up. ( a downey ball works great for this) she may also be sensitive to your detergent if it has a fragrance to it ,which will cause continual yeast Good Luck yeast is no fun:(
Call the doctor! He's the one treating her. He needs to know that the treatment didn't work so that he can prescribe more of it or something else.
Where is the infection located? How will an enema help a vaginal or oral yeast infection? I've never heard of an anal yeast infection.
How long have you been using the meds? has it been a week? Can she sleep and spend some of her day with no panties.? Give her a towel to sit on..
Let her sleep without panties or pajama bottoms.. . There is no reason for them at night..
Call the doc and let them know. Ask for tips to keep it down and away. If it becomes cronic then they'll do something else.
My daughter had it once as a toddler and it was so bad that it sealed up her vagina completely, looking as if his vaginal opening had "healed over". Her yeast was so thick it became like a glue and closed her up. Had to go to ER because I'd never heard of such a thing. To this day part of her vagina is sealed but as puberty will come it will open up on it's own completely.
