My Crabby 10 Month Old

I have no clue how to soothe my son, he is 10 months old and is getting plenty of sleep. He sleeps 730pm-7am and then takes a 3 hour nap from 10-1 and a 2 hour nap 3-5. He has 2 teeth already and was not crabby one bit with those. He is crawling everywhere and has so much freedom around the house.

What can I do next?

If could be more teeth are coming in - some hurt more than others.
And if teeth are involved, sometimes there can be an ear infection.
Some kids do sleep longer than others especially during growth spurts.
Mention it to your doctor but if he's not worried, you shouldn't worry either.
Take him for walks in his stroller.
Sometimes a bit of fresh air can help.

If he wants to sleep that long then let him!! Obviously he needs that sleep if his body naturally does it!

Yes, he could be having a more painful tooth coming through. After a few days of crabbiness I've been known to give a test dose of Tylenol to see if there is something painful going on. If that is the case, wait a little longer and the possibly see the doctor to check out his ears, etc. Also, consider boredom. How does he do if you take him to another home where he can play? While my son has plenty of toys to play with and plenty of room, he just gets bored being inside...and now that he's walking, a stroller ride doesn't cut it.

He is sleeping WAY too much - call your pediatrician and ask if something might be going on.

How is he being crabby and when? How long has he been crabby? He could be teething, some teeth come in easy, some not, even in the same child. My kids all had several teeth by 10 months so i suspect he's getting ready to get a crop of them. Sounds like he's sleeping a lot, by 10 months all my kids had dropped their morning naps, and gone to just one after lunch so he's definitely not sleep deprived. Is he on solids? Not really sure what could be going on with him, sorry.
