My son is 11 months now and he's always been hot bodied he gets it naturally from his father side of the family but lately he's been having alot of conjestion his doctor has prescribed him alot of prescription they've helped but i want it completely gone!!! Can anyone please help me!!!!?????!!!!!! he haven't had any fevers other than when he's teething but his grandmother on his father side had allot of sinus and asthma issues when she was younger i also had to get tubes in my ears nd his doc already did a respirtory test on him he was negative we do have a dog in the house but he doesnt sneeze or anything that would make me think he's allergic to the dog. and since we're staying with his grandparents they dont believe in turning on the hearter at night so i use a space heater to keep some heat in the room. his doc told me as lomg as he's not sweating while sleeping he should be fine
I've taken him to the dotor numerous times and they finally came up with putting him on breathing treatments for a week and it did help but i want it completely gone because he's been having this problem for about a month now its starting to bug me!!!!!!!!
What do you keep the thermostat at during the night?

If he's got an upper respiratory condition, he may run hot because his body is constantly fighting it. A low grade fever (if that's what you're talking about) is a sign of the body's efforts to heal itself.
He may need immune system boosting - it's not an overnight fix but it will help down the road if you want to get away from the breathing treatments and all those doctor visits. I can help with that.
He's 11 months this could be tied to teething. One of my granddaughters always got a sinus infection when she got a tooth in. Many kids are also a little feverish or low grade temp when they teeth.
I agree with Christy Lee..You need to check those issues. With winter months also, the rooms become very dry. Do you have a humidifier? I know when my son was that age, he went through a teething stage. Sometimes that will also come with a low grade fever.
Does he have allergies? I also would have him checked out by an ENT. I also think that if he is on alot of prescriptions this could actually make his symptoms worse.
Also, somethings need to just run their course.
Is he coughing? is it wet/dry?
when I was a baby I had alot of sinus issues and according to my mom I was ALWAYS congested. I ended up having tubes in my ears I think six times. The first time being when I was 18 months old. I know now a days docs are not so quick to put tubes in kids ears but I know that she started taking us to see a chiro. When I was about three I had my toncils and adniods taken out and most of my issues were gone. He is probably too young for that but he might end up needing that done. If you are really fed up with giving meds (I am the same way) look for a chiro. that works on babies and they can talk to you about supplements that might help and also being adjusted will help open his airway. Hot bodied but does he have a fever? We have some hot bodied people in our family but yet their temperature is always below 99 which is normal.
Has he been tested for allergies? It seems like a cold would be gone by now but allergies stay the same without treatment. If he's allergic to things then you need to keep him away from what he's allergic to in order to get the congestion to go away or to continue medicating him.
What does the doctor suggest is causing this? I would listen to the doctor. If he says this will eventually go away then realize that it will just take time. Continue to give him the breathing treatments. What are the other medications? Knowing those would help me have a better idea of the doctor's focus.
are you running a humidifier for the winter months? Check with your dr on his recommendations.
Remove the stuffed animals from his room, & keep his bedding clean/fresh. See if this helps at all.
& the "hot" feeling, with my sons, was related to pressure on the ears as a result of the congestion. What's his temp running?
Three more thoughts: do you have pets? & is there just one food which he eats every single day? & have you checked for mold? Just a few ways you can check for allergies....before testing. :)
