Mamas & Papas -

Might be due to too many years in front of a computer, or it might be due to a hefty growing infant, whatever the cause, my right shoulder hurts. Hubs says we're too young for me to smell of "BenGay" any recommendations for an effective, fast acting, and not smelly pain cream?

Thanks a Bunch,
Fanged Bunny

I had SEVERE tendonitis in my shoulder, neck and arm .. this , due to many hours a day on a computer for several years.. I went to physical therapy and that didn't do much... massage did help a lot.. but what helped the most was no longer being at a job where I had to use the computer 8 to 10 hrs a day.. my advice, remedy that should now..... if not, it will only get worse.. look online, there are stretches you can do every 20 or 30 mins.. it's important to get up and stretch the entire body as the nerves run from top to bottom.. (often, people just focus on what aches) additionally, make sure your workstation is ergonomically setup as possible.. it's not just the computer that can be a problem.. but other repetitive movements such as reaching to use a mouse or answer a phone..

Go get a massage asap. Between the computer, stress and picking up children that's where I get my aches and pains and it hurts like hell. I also see a chiro but if you shy away from chiropractors at least get an hour massage to loosen up that area and get the blood flowing. You can also alternate between a heating pad and ice. I just had a massage 2 days ago. Works wonders!

I would try the chiropractor. When I first went in i was sooo skeptical and scared and he had me sit on the bench and i was lopsided my left shoulder was quite a bit higher than my right shoulder sitting at rest. He did his thing and when my shoulder finally popped and it popped loudly which the chiro thought was cool, it didn't hurt and I felt SOOOOOO much better! I need to go back though thats the bad thing once you realize what its like to feel good again when you cant afford to keep going and you need to go back but cant til you can afford it again.

You need to get a good massage. You need to use a heating pad..

You need to also make sure you handbag is not over stuffed and try to carry that baby or child with the other arm for a while.
