So here it is...It freaks me out a bit because I keep him clean it happens after he has a bath, the next morning he wakes up and annouces that he stinks..he is right!
I have washed him and put him to bed in clean sheets and still the smell comes back.
I keep the house cool at night and he only sleeps in a t-shirt so I don't think he is sweating.
I bought him a natural deoderant without all the additives and bad stuff in it and still he stinks!
Does anyone have any experience with this and what did you do?? If he smells this bad now I can't possibly imagine what he will smell like duing puberty!

What can I do next?

My 9 year old is the same. Works best to just let him wipe off before bed and take his big bath in the am. Also if he has to much milk products this is worse. I have to watch what he eats right before bed and limit his milk based things throughout the whole week.

Hi there,

My son is almost 7 too and so your question provoked me to do a quick internet search. Sure enough, there could be some significant reasons why your son is experiencing this, some that are serious. Check out the following link and check in with your physician to do some further testing. I hope this helps. Good luck.

Amanda,
This may sound crazy, but it was happening to my son at about 5-6 yo. It was happening after activities though. But I read about hormones in milk and I switched to organic milk and he NEVER has had BO since. Try it!

is he eating a lot of processed foods? maybe its something he is eating? if he washes his armpits in the AM is it gone? I would loook at his diet first and make sure what is going in is healthy so that he isnt just stinky from what he is releasing out into his pores

I know there is deodorant for girls/women that you put on at night before you go to bed. You can then also put on additional deodorant in the morning if you want. I believe it is called "Clinical Strength". My daughter is older but she likes to use it the nights before she has PE at school as it is in the morning and she worries about being sweaty/stinky the rest of the school day. I don't have any boys but I would guess they make something similar for boys/men. Maybe check with your pediatrician too. He/she may have some ideas, especially with your son being so young. Good Luck to you! They definitely grow up too fast!!

My son used to clear a room with his feet at about age 9. I did some research and found out that chorophyl is a natural deodorizer. More green veggies, and my quick fix was Shaklee's Alfafa. I gave him 3 a day and his odor was gone within the week.

hello
too much dairy and meat in one's diet can cause one to smell... also.. does he get enough water? how can you know? his urine shouldn't be too yellow when he goes to the restroom , it should run on the clear side.. this is also good for adults whom often do not get enough WATER.. i am not talking fruit juices either, pure unadulterated water :)
Additionally, too much fat in the diet can also cause smells. .of course hormones also play a major role. I find too it helps to keep hair VERY short.. especially on kids.. it smells less when there is less hair..
best of luck

Change your soap. His skin may be reacting badly to it.
Also, make sure he is eating plenty of vegetables and fruits...cut back on sugars if you can.
