Put a mattress pad on his bed and make sure you lock all the doors and windows every night!

The wetting the bed is not that big a deal, he will eventually grow out of it.

I can not speak to the sleep walking, sorry.

I am sure you will get some helpful advice from other moms on here...they are great and have seen/dealt with almost everything:)

Great advice about the mattress pad.

I would probably talk to the pediatrician about the sleep walking. You definitely want to lock the doors and perhaps put a gate on his bedroom to try to keep him in.

I would definitely do some research on sleepwalking and what is its cause and remedy.

Don't wake him when he is sleep walking just guide him back to bed when you catch him sleep walking. I hope this helps.

In normal development, this is resolved in toddlerhood, as you know. However, in a certain number of people, bedwetting may continue if the Spinal Galant primitive reflex has not been integrated. This is a stage of development during toddlerhood that relates to spending floor time on the back, but even some children who spend enough time, still do not get completely through this stage. In order to decide if the retained primitive reflex is the problem, look at the list below, and if you see 3 or more symptoms, likely this is the issue.
Group #3 – Snow Angel
 Fidgeting
 Bedwetting
 Poor concentration or attention
 Poor memory
 Very sensitive to several senses (visual, hearing, touch, smell, taste)
 Difficulty reading

If you see several symptoms, don't despair! Your son simply needs to do some simple exercises daily for about a month to inhibit the reflex. For more information, please read about the primitive reflexes and neurodevelopment on my web site: www.pyramidofpotential.com.

Good luck!!!

Sincerely,

You may want to try cutting out dairy for a week or two. We had a neighbor child that did this and it did the trick. (cheese may or may not contribute. sometimes people can digest cheese okay but not milk)
