Elmer's glue should come off with a little soap and warm water. You may actually want to let it dry first for the carpet and "scrap/pick" off as much as you can. For your clothes, put them on a pre-wash cycle.

Good luck,

plenty of hot water, it might take a while, but it will all come out.

In case of crayon on carpeting, makeup, stickers on things that they shouldn't be on, mild candle wax etc... buy a product called Goo Gone. It is amazing stuff.

my best advice is vinegar I work at a daycare and we make a sensory item out of glue and vinegar cleans it out of clothes and hair so i imagine it would work on carpet and should not effect color. the vinegar just kind of dissolves it
best of luck.

I googled this quickly and if you are talking aobut hte white school glue you should be able to clean it up with lots of hot soapy water, if you have a carpet steamer i'd use that. i'd scrape up what i could to minimixe the mess and then just poor and blot otherwise, it will take forever but it will come out, as for the clothing and bag just toss in the wash.
