Why do we keep getting these kinds of questions where there are only one or two sentences? It's not like we can suggest ANYTHING except take the kid to the doctor.

if you don't provide any information, you're not going to get any useful help.
maybe he just slept funny. maybe he has a neurological nightmare.
if he's 'suffering', why have you waited 3 days to take him to the doctor?

Sorry - this is too vague. It looks like you may have limited English, perhaps because you are from another country? So just do the best you can but provide a lot more information.

However, if you are saying the problem went away after 2-3 hours, I'm not sure what you expect from us. If you don't think it's an emergency, then call the pediatrician's office (they have 24 hour coverage, with either your doctor or another doctor on call). They will ask you some questions and get more information, then give you much better advice than we can with such a brief and detail-free description.

If it has only been 3 days I would keep watching to see if the issue gets better or worse. At that young age he may not be able to tell you about an injury he suffered from a fall or the like to his knee that could be causing some inflammation and discomfort. If it continues or get worse then take him to see a doctor. When a joint is inflamed it is often stiff after long periods of none movement, and then gets better as the person moves around.

You don't mention if there is anything else going on, has he been sick? Fever? Recently vaccinated? My son was 2 1/2 when he started limping, and then after a few days stopped walking all together. After a lot of tests and unknowns we found out he has juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, which is an autoimmune issue. When a child suffers from JRA his immune system over reacts to issues and attacks the body instead, causing joint and skin issues. The flare up that caused my son to stop walking was the result of him having both an ear infection and strep throat at the same time. When he is healthy he is fine, but whenever he gets sick or runs a fever he suffers joint stiffness and pain.
