My experience was spread the food you offer out and let them pick what they want. Don't pass judgment (can be gently encouraging) or make an issue of any choices or non-choices. Toss out what is not eaten (or save if okay to use again). They all seem to stop eating around this time and don't really start again until the next growth spurt. They also are beginning to want to make their 'own' choices, voice their own opinions, choose their own bedtime or toilet time. Anotherwords... the first rebellion! (or second, around two for toilet training). If you don't allow space for their feelings (very hard when you are in a hurry and your schedule is being disrupted) you will be opening the door to continual opposition and defiance... Hang Cool!
