My 3 month old son has never had a problem eating. For some reason every time I have tried to feed him today he has gaged himself on his bottle or he has played with it, he is just not interested. He has been chewing on his fists A LOT. Could he be teething? I'm not sure what to do. Any advice would be heat advice!!!!!! Thanx

What can I do next?

It sounds like teething.
Try putting a wet washcloth in the freezer and letting him chew/suck on it.

yes he could be teething. my daughter is 3 months old and she is drooling and chewing on her hands and fingers like crazy but no teeth yet. they say that babies teeth a little bit at a time and can be teething but still not have any teeth come through for months. Also my daughter would rather play and watch what is going on than eat anytime!! She is not a big eater and just likes to other things more. Maybe your little one is teething or maybe he just is too busy wanting to do other things.

Sure does sound like teething. Also, it helps to be aware that babies very typically go through non-hungry cycles for up to a week or two. Then they hit a growth spurt and eat like fiends for a while.

Working on new motor skills is also extremely distracting to babies, and they'll want to play instead of eat for awhile. If you can avoid anxiety of your own, and refrain from trying to force your little guy to eat, he's less likely to develop emotional issues that will negatively affect his future eating habits.

Yes he might be, and if he is drooling alot he miht be filling his little tummy with the drool, therefore not being hungry. I always froze the nipples to the bottle so it was cold when I fed my kids, you could also use a cold wash cloth and rub his gums. If he is gagging check when he is laughing that he does not have post nasil drip. it might be that too.

It sounds like teething. Does your son still using the pacifier? I use to put my daughter's paci in the freeze to help her with her gums.
What are you feeding him? My daughter was bored very fast of the plain cereals and wouldn't eat them.

Check his ears, he may have an ear infection and some post nasal drip...

Another possibility could be reflux, 3 months is around the time it starts presenting itself in some cases, just something to look into :)
