I have kind of a strange request but i thought i would throw it out there cause ya never know, lol.

I am creating a picture DVD for my dad to present to my uncle who owns the company my dad works for. And it is a tribute sort of to the 7 yrs that the company has been in CO it starts with the pictures of the day they bought the land in Colorado, the construction of the site and all the way to 2007. Anyways they made him a 20yr dvd in MN and my dad wanted to do the same for CO. So My request is, I am putting these pics to music and does anyone have any music suggestions, anything new/old, rock/jazz just music that might fit building up a buisness, construction I mean I am totally in the dark. I havent got the pics yet and i guees there is like 1000 to go through and when I see them something might click. I know there has to be music lovers out there that can throw out a few suggestions I can choose from. Thanks.

What can I do next?

Hi Mom with two beautiful girls. "Rocky" might be a good one to include. If they started a new construction business I'm sure they've overcome a lot. Sounds like a great idea. Good luck!

My husband suggested a website (www.allmusic.com). You can type in titles or artists of songs and in some cases you can actually hear a bit of the song. I would try typing in some words to see what songs have that word in the title (i.e. "Colorado", or "Rocky Mountain High", "building") Obviously use search words that might lend themself to the pictures and they type of business. What type of business is it?

Hope that helps.

Maybe John Denver Rocky Mountain High. There are plenty of songs about the mountains and Colorado....

In terms of building... you could use We Built this City on Rock and Roll... or Build me up Buttercup by the Foundations... or Love Can Build a Bridge by the Judds. They are just kinda funny spins on the building aspect. Also Everybody's Workin for the Weekend... or Working Class Hero by John Lennon... or Working Man by Rush... which would be for the working aspect. Just a couple ideas.

I used to live in CO - so my first thought was music that is from Colorado. Try The Samples- Thinking outloud here- maybe their song "Could it be another change" since the company started 7 years ago. or the song "Nature" since the land is so beautiful there. There album 1992-1996 are personally my favorite.

When my boyfriend came back from Iraq he had made a pic slideshow to the group Enigma. I thought that was very fitting. Dont know if it was so much of what the pictures were but it just fit for a slideshow.
