I am 30 weeks. I have muscle ache in my thighs. It helps to stretch them but my mom says don't do it. Is it safe?

What can I do next?

The best person to ask is the doc, but I did it through my whole pregnancy. As well, I walked everyday and ended up with low fluid. When they finally got to questioning me why I always had low fluid and found out I was walking 3 times a day, they found out why I was low! Ask the doc.

it's OK to stretch them. Just be sure to hang onto something so you don't lose your balance, or lay down to stretch. Maybe your mom is thinking of getting cramps in the calf from stretching---I remember those. Yikes!

I think it's fine to stretch. Lots of women do prenatal yoga, and that's all about stretching. Hope the achiness subsides!

Why wouldn't it be safe to stretch tight muscles? As long as you don't overdo it....

Stretching is fine and good for a pregnant body. Just put in 50% effort b/c your ligaments are loose from hormones to allow your body to fit you growing baby in your body so it is easy to over stretch. Try to find a pre- natal yoga class, it is gret from body and soul
