What kind of work are you both looking for or doing?
Major employment centers in WA state are Seattle, Tacoma, Bellingham, Bellevue. If you're in high-tech, you want to be close to Seattle/Bellevue. Traffic around here can be a pain.
I used to live in West Seattle, Lynnwood, and Bellevue, and since we have kids, I prefer Bellevue (love West Seattle for it's funky neighborhood feel). Bellevue is clean, safe, and has good schools. You'll find most places on the "Eastside" (east side of Lake Union) to be newer with bigger yards, with a bit more of suburban feel, versus the more established neighborhoods west of Lake Union.
If you give us some more information about your preferences, it would be easier to help narrow it down.

I have lived in WA for the past 20 years. We just moved out of Mukilteo and back into Mill Creek. So, I have good info on those two cities!
We love Mill Creek.. It's a bit expensive, but all of those places that you listed are...except I have no idea where Liberty Lake is. I like that it's a small town feel, but it's not. The schools in this area are some of the higher rated in the state, it's beautiful here, you are close to grocery stores, our Town Center, and Silverlake beach. I can't really think of a downside except that it is a bit far from Bellevue and Seattle (two major areas that people work).
However, Mukilteo is CRAZY far from both Seattle and Bellevue. We moved just two weeks ago because my husband's commute to Bellevue was taking him about an hour and a half. His commute to Seattle was just over an hour. Depending on where you like in Mukilteo you can actually be about 20 minutes just from the freeway (we lived right by the ferry and that is about 20 minutes to the freeway). The good thing about that area is it's GORGEOUS. We had a beautiful view of the water and the ferry, I miss it. But, we do not miss the commute. The school my children went to was great and that area has some of the best schools in the state as well. They also have some that are really struggling...it depends on where in Mukilteo you are. Also, VERY VERY expensive to live in that area.
I have not ever lived in Sammamish, but can tell you that if you or your husband is planning on commuting to Seattle it will be long. I-90 gets a lot of traffic, especially since there is a toll bridge now on 520.
I would also recommend taking a look at Bothell, Bellevue, Redmond, Edmonds, Kirkland, and Shoreline. All those areas have some really nice areas and some really good schools.

are you working in seattle? Traffic is horrid, we lived there for 4.5 years, we lived up in the mulkiteo, mill creek area for a year and had to move more south so my hubby could keep from driving for 45min each direction, it's a long drive time wise.

Anyhow need more info

Lake washington school district is a great district

BTW we lived in Kirkland for 3.5 years and loved it, bothel wouldn't be bad either

I prefer western Washington over eastern personally. Sammamish is BY FAR the best place out of those you listed to live. Then mukilteo next, mill creek, and I wouldn't live in liberty lake. You may also want to consider Redmond, Edmonds, Kirkland, and issaquah. All are 20 minutes from downtown seattle but lower crime, good schools, etc. pm me for more info if you wish, I've lived here my whole life!

Well, I live in Eastern Washington State and Liberty Lake is the only place you have listed that is on my side of the state. All the rest are over on the west side, closer to Seattle.

As far as Liberty Lake is concerned, it is not really a place I would choose to live...it is a little city (more like a blip along the edges of the freeway) that is in between 2 major cities...Spokane, Wa and Idaho....so you have to drive in one direction either way to get to a Target and a movie theatre, ya know?

Not sure what you are looking for, Liberty Lake is pretty (most of Wa State is pretty, w/all the trees and such) and of course a decent place...not a lot of crime (we have are fair share) but crime just like any other place, none the less.
