I lived overseas in Indonesia for 4 years when our son was 7 and our daughter was born in Singapore. I haven't lived in Nigeria, but I know people who did and it was not the best location to take young children to. Will you be living in Lagos or will you be in a camp far removed from the city? That will make a huge difference in your safety and what your children will be exposed to. I have a doctor that is from Nigeria and also a nurse (with another doctor) and they both have made comments about how harrowing it was to live in Lagos. I think that you should make sure that you find out alot more about the living situations over there as well as the schooling before your husband takes you and your children over there. Also, ask him to get someone's email address (preferrably another woman who is also a Mom) that is currently living over there with the same company so that you can talk to someone who is there and that will help you make a better decision. Living overseas is exciting, and scarey all at the same time, but it's great to broaden you horizons as well as your childrens!
Hope that this helps.
