We are moving this Spring and I'm looking for feedback on the schools, park districts, libraries, etc on a few areas. Currently our top three locations we are considering are Bloomingdale (school dist. 13), Lombard (school dist. 44), Lisle (school dist. 202). We are also considering Glen Ellyn (school dist 89), Wheaton (school dist 200), Downers Grove and possibly north Naperville. My husband works in Paletine and I work in Naperville so we are trying to split the commute as much as possible.

I would really love any and all feedback if you've lived in any of those areas. My kids are just starting elementary school. I will have a kindergartner and a 1st grader in the fall.

Thank you!

What can I do next?

My Hubby and I live in Countryside.. Awesome school District
District 105. This is Lyons Township district. Both Gramer school and High schools are great. My son is in Kindergarten now.. he has the best teacher around honestly.

We are right at the intersection of I-55 and 294... ( I work in Shaumburg)

I get the moving to have an even commute, but sometimes moving closer to the highways could be better.

Used to live in Blomingdale, but I know nothing about that district.

We live in Downers Grove and love it. Houses can be expensive, especially in the DG North High School district. Great neighborhoods--wide range of house styles. Good schools, park district, library programs, and a decent downtown. Close to 355 and 294, along with a great hospital. DG North is a much smaller high school than some others in the area, so you may consider that a pro or con, depending what you are looking for.

Your commute could get tough some days though. My husband used to commute to Sears in Hoffman Estates and anytime they were doing construction on 355 or near the Schaumburg mall or in rain or snow, it was pretty slow. Other than that, or if he left early, it wasn't horrible because I think most traffic is heading the other way. I have a friend in Palatine and it's a quick drive outside of rush hour traffic--maybe 35 minutes or so. Good luck with the decision!
