Movies and 3D

I get annoyed with the 3D stuff too. Also read recently that there is a disclaimer on all the new 3D tvs about how 3D can damage the eye development in young children. Needless to say, I won't be buying a 3D TV or taking my kids to see one any time soon. As far as nixing the glasses---the screen will look a little blurry and so be prepared to get a headache if you go that route. I've found that none of the older movie theaters carry 3D and, bonus, they're usually cheaper.

From my experience most of them are blurry if you are not wearing the glasses. You are still able to watch it ok, it's not a really horrible picture but definitely blurry. Our theater here offers the popular movie in different theatres at different times, one of the theaters showing it in the "regular" version and not 3D. Maybe just look at all the theaters around and see if any have that option.

Most movies that are made for 3d are blurry, but usually there is a non 3D showing. Look at some other theaters to see if the movies you want are not in 3d. The 3d tv thing is a fad and won't last. Our eyes aren't designed to see things that way all the time. It's cool for a few hours, but not long term. :)Enjoy your movie time!

Every 3D movie out plays in 2-D as well. Also almost every movie doesn't even need to be in 3-D as the graphics and CGI are so high tech.

Often the theaters have a 2D and 3D version. I don't think the 2 year old would even wear the glasses, and if you don't wear the glasses, it'll give you a headache.

We always watch the regular option and not the 3D (plus the 3D moves usually cost more). You would never really know that they where suppose to be 3D so it doesnt matter to us. I dont think its worth the extra 2-3 bucks a person.
