I think www.fandango.com ........if you find the movie, there should be a review. I used this for "The Waterhorse", and some of the reviewers said i was a bit scarry...ect! Good Luck!
Does anyone know of a good webite that will tell you age appropriateness of kids movies? I'm surprised how many kids movies have curse words and unecessary violence.
Thanks to everyone for your suggestions. A lot of you had the same websites so that is reassuring. I apprecite all the responses. F.

I like http://www.pluggedinonline.com/. You could also try a google search. I hope this helps.
Check out www.commonsensemedia.org. It has reviews and a great rating system for all types of media made for all types of audiences. I have found it to be a reassuring way to "preview" a certain movie before allowing my children to watch it. Or at least to become aware of the movie content so I'm not surprised when I turn it on.
I look up http://www.christiananswers.net/spotlight for reviews. They count swear words and discuss content. They have a list of "older" movies as well, those you might see on television.
Here's one:

The website reviews in pretty useful detail, all movies out in current release, as well as on DVD/VHS.
Hope this is helpful!
I know what you mean! These are my favorite movie review sites:

They are very very detailed about everything in the movie.
HI, Pluggedinonline.com is a great movie review site. They list the movies when they are in theaters by content, language, violence, etc. They are pretty accurate too.
www.pluggedinonline.com This is a great site that I refer to all the time. It covers positive elements, spiritual content, sexual content, violent content, crude or profane language, drug and alcohol content, other negative content and conclusion. That about covers it! :) Hope this helps. J.
www.kids-in-mind.com is AMAZING. It rates movies in terms of occurance of sex, profanity and violence AND gives specific descriptios of all three for every movie. It's a GREAT tool.

This is Feature Films for Families and they have a great selection
Common Sense Media (.com, I think)
