Good Afternoon Mama's!
my 6 and 7 yr old have wanted to see Rango since it hit the theatres.. well the previews did not seem too appealing to me.. and when it hit the $1 theatre, I read some reviews saying that it was NOT kid appropriate?? any feedback? my daughter saw it at Redbox today and she wants us to rent it??

What can I do next?

I have friends that saw it and were NOT happy. I read reviews online that were not child friendly as far as some language, sarcasm, implied things. I chose to not have my kids see it.

This is the one that I made my decision on.

We took our kids....they were bored out of their minds. And I thought it was horrible! Not just because, I agree it's not a appropriate for kids...but it was distasteful to me as well.

My 10 yr old son saw it w/ a friend and said there were some bad words such as he!! and son-of-a-ahhhhhhh (the b-word was replaced w/ a scream). He seemed surprised with it, although he certainly has heard those words from me :) However saying that, he said he loved the movie, but the first thing he told me after he saw it was, "Momma there were some bad words in that movie'.

I have read it is for adults and that's what I tell my kids. I don't budge on movies so they haven't asked again.

The reviews that said "not kid appropriate" should be enough to go on. Tell your daughter you heard it was boring and not kid appropriate either. Nuff said.

it's a great resource & I don't let my kids watch anything before I check there first!

Took our kids to see it and wish we wouldnt have. It has some bad words and some smoking in a "bar". I wouldnt waist your time.

I don't recommend it. I took my 10 yr old DS to see it and was very dissapointed within the first 5 minutes. There is a lot of adult humor that I was uncomfortable with watching while my DS was there. I think it was overhyped because of Jonny Depp.

My daughter and I went to see it. It was ok at best.

My daughter is 8 now. 7 when we saw it. It was fine for that age.
