My kids loved Mary Poppins, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, Lion King, Toy Story, Bugs, Wizard of Oz, Monster Inc, Ice Age, Lady and the Tramp....
:)
We are having a movie day at our house. The weather here stinks and my kids are being really good about the fact I am not up for a rain walk today. I need movie recommendations..WE have watched Return to Oz and A goofy movie. After a quick bathroom break and a snack...we may dive into something else....but what???
Ideas?? I down load just about everything so it wont take long if something seems good.
My kids are 6, 4 and 3. So nothing to scary or out there:)
And the winner is for now...MARY POPPINS...keep them coming though. There are a few posted I havent thought about watching in a while...its good to see different ones!! for next time!!
It is miserable. It is not as bad and waiting for what the east coast and mid west have seen storm wise. But is not nice to look at for days and days!!
My kids loved Mary Poppins, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, Lion King, Toy Story, Bugs, Wizard of Oz, Monster Inc, Ice Age, Lady and the Tramp....
:)
Have you guys seen Megamind yet? Hilarious! My kids also love Wall-E, Meet the Robinsons, Bolt, Elf (I know it's a Christmas movie, but we still love watching it even when it's not Christmas), Monsters, Inc., A Bug's Life, the Incredibles, Kung Fu Panda...those are just a few off the top off my head. Have fun!
The sound of music!!
or MY fav, the little mermaid :)
HAVE FUN!
I LOVE A Goofy Movie!
How about some of the Disney classics? Aladdin is one of my favorites.
The Brave Little Toaster was always one of my kids' favs. too. Oh yes, and the Lion King.
Milo and Otis.
My 3 year old loves Cars, the Toy Story movies and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.
The Tangerine Bear, is about a teddy bear that accidental was put its smile up side down, and so no body wants to buy him. Is a sweet emotive movie about "home is where you heart is" kind of message.
Also " Despicable me" !! same mensage but more funny, lol.
My kids are 2 and 3 and love Ponyo, Care Bears and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. They also like Up.
How to Train Your Dragon was great. My oldest is 4 and both of my older boys love it. They also love Cinderella, Sesame Street and Muppet movies, The Bear, Milo and Otis, The Aristocats, really almost any Disney movie they've seen.
UPDATE:
What about old tv shows? We watch things like Gilligan's Island and Green Acres and our boys love those, too. Fun, wholesome, and entertaining for all of us. :)
Ramona and Beezus...got a great review from family friendly reviewers, and my 3 year old loved it...so did I!
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
A Shark's Tale, Finding Nemo, Fox and The Hound is a favorite here, and Lion King, Monster's Inc so many good ones! Good luck and have fun watching movies on this most rainy and stormy Washington weather! I feel ya, I live in Lakewood and we are on Storm Watch good day for a movie marathon :)
Veggies Tales has a few feature length films that are great - Jonah and the Big Whale, The Wizard of Ha's (a take off of The Wizard of Oz), and Lord of the Beans (a take off of Lord of the Beans).
Hope you guys had fun!
Stuart Little is super cute. So is Milo and Otis.
A Little Princess, starring Liesel Matthews is a beautiful movie. It has some sad parts, but a happy ending. It didn't scare either of my young children.
Jungle Book.
The Sandlot is a really good movie too.
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is awesome. There's a scary guy in it but not for long.
Hans Christian Anderson with Danny Kaye.
Have fun! My kids and I used to do this all the time when the weather was bad. My 15 year old son and I still do. He's a little older so our choices are different.
This is way late, but for next time, try Ponyo. It's such a great movie and not scary. No good guys or bad guys, just conflict. My four-year-old son looooves it!
Any Disney cartoon flicks, Shrek, Nannie Macphee (spelling?). Both my 4 and 7 YO are into the Pink Panther cartoons downloaded from Netflix. They're super short, too, so they can watch a couple here and a couple there w/o sitting down for hours. Both kids really got into the Herbie movies, even the really old ones. We watched them all.
tangled, mary poppins, alvin and the chipmunks, up, madagascar, any disney movie, can't remember the name, but there is a documentary about penguins,
The return of Nanny McPhee is really good 3 generations ages 3 - 68 enjoyed it on our last movie night at our house.
Newsies, Enchanted, just a few to add to some of the other great ideas.
