Movie: Frozen --- I'm Looking for Spoilers Please!!!

Hello! So generally I would love to watch a movie and find out how the plot unravels on my own. However, I have heard a few people say that the beginning of the movie Frozen is really scary for kids. Other people say that the movie is just fine for kids and there shouldn't be any problems.

It is really cold where I live right now. We had some fun holiday things planned to do with the family tonight, but are thinking about changing some of those plans since they are mostly outdoor activities (Winter Parade for one). We thought about going to the movie theatres to see the movie Frozen instead.

So tell me...if you have seen this movie, WHAT happens in the first 15 minutes that causes kids to be so afraid? Is this kind of like Finding Nemo, where the first few minutes are a little scary for kids and then it gets better?

I'm hoping that if I know what/when something will be a little scary, then I can maybe prep the kids ahead of time (kind of like I do on Finding Nemo).

Let me know your thoughts....I truly appreciate it!!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Great! These sites tell me what I need to know. I haven't really used sites like this before, so I'll have to keep them in mind for future movies. Thanks!!

ETA: We went!!! The kids loved it! For anyone who hasn't seen the movie, probably the only scary part for us was this LARGE snowman that is trying to keep everyone away from the queen (you'll have to see it to know what I mean). We LOVED the small snowman. It was a wonderful movie, and I think we all enjoyed it (age 3 and 6 for our kids -- our newborn slept through it!) ;)

My hubby took the kids last weekend. No one was afraid. My kids are a brand new 4 and 5.5. It was their very first movie at a theater!

I'm not really sure. I saw it last night with my 3, 6, and 9 year old and can't recall much. Maybe because the sisters became isolated from each other and then the parents died? Seemed like typical Disney fare to me. (Though not being a fan of Broadway-type musicals, I got sick of the music really fast.)

It's not scary just sad in the beginning. The sister accidently hurt the other and then the parents die on a trip. My daughter is 7 and loved this movie (we have seen it twice already).

I see you already got your answer but I wanted to give you this link anyway: http://www.pluggedin.com/movies.aspx I check this site for every single movie I plan to watch with my kids. They are the most thorough reviews for parents and it always helps me decided if my kids are ready for a certain movie or not.

We saw it. My kids are 8 and 5. They weren't scared at all. And I haven't heard of anyone being scared from it. Elsa (magic girl) accidentally hits her sister in the head with her magic, when she was actually trying to help her. The family takes Anna to trolls (cute and friendly) to save her. The parents die just a bit later on a boat trip, but it's Disney, you kind of expect the parents to be dead or die, right?

I am not sure how old your kids are and that does make a difference. The first few minutes are scary only in that one sister has magic and freezes things. The sisters are playing and she accidentally knocks the younger sister down during play (sister is hurt but not significantly). The movie is not scary and deserves its G rating. None of my kids thought that any of it was scary and I have some really weenies. I hope this helps! Go and see it :) The characters are endearing and the music is fantastic.

my 4 year old and 5 year old girls loved it. They were not scared. They LOVED IT. My 8 year old son enjoyed it as well.

It has a great morale and not the typical boy saves girl story line that you think you are going to get ;) hey you said you were looking for a spoiler.
