I am a first time mother five months pregnant I already had an ultra sound and everything was good but recently I thought I felt movement or quickening I'm not even sure exactly but yesterday the movement was very slight and now I can't feel any at all I'm very scared.

What can I do next?

Congrats!

You won't feel constant movement.... you may never, or until the last few weeks you deliver. sometimes the baby is sleeping and right now the baby is not very big, compared to your body.
Also, the more YOU move the more your baby is either moving with your or your movement has "rocked" the baby into a calm state of relaxation or sleep.

You can stimulate the baby to move by drinking a glass of orange juice and then laying VERY STILL on your left side for like 15-20 minutes.

But you don't want to do this alot - or you will be drinking too much orange juice and laying around all the time....lol.

You can also go into the dr and have him/her listen for a heart beat.

Don't worry too much - that will just snowball and stress is not good for you or the baby. But, yes, it is nervewracking!!!!!

Congratulations to you!! Don't worry--it's still way early for you to be feeling much movement. When I was pregnant and didn't "hear from" my wee one for a while, I would rub my belly and say, "You okay in there?" He would move just a bit, as if to assure me that all was well. Just talk to your little one ALL THE TIME, as if he/she were looking right into your eyes. Get him/her used to hearing and responding to your voice.

I am also a first time mom to be and 20wks. I am just starting to feel my daughter move around. It is very faint and I mainly can feel it when I'm trying to fall asleep. I am starting to notice it a little more and more each day :) I think of her as my little tiny dancer. It is such an awesome experience! let me know if you would like to chat about any other pregnancy experiences. Feels like I'm getting bigger by the day haha
