I think that's a recipe for a broken bone. Regular scooters are great for kids. But even 4-year-olds have a tough time balancing and not falling. A motorized one would be extremely dangerous I would think.
Do you moms know if they mak motorized scooters for a 4 yr old?

Not sure, my 4 yo has always asked for one. Call me old fashioned but I like the kid powered ones.
I'm not even sure but I would MUCH rather my son use his kid powered one instead! It gets him exercise and he loves it.
I kind of agree with Robbe. I would start a 4 yr old out on a regular scooter and then when a little older possibly get the motorized one. I know they are a lot of fun but maybe at first get the regular one unless they already can master the regular one and then I would say go for it...Obviously make sure protective gear is worn!! Good luck PS...I dont think they make them specifically for a 4 yr old but they do make them for older kids...
I should hope not.
There appears to be many parents who have had brainectomies and put their small children on motorized vehicles. Let's not forget that children do not have much life experience and are not able to visualize the impact of their actions. Older children have jumped off roofs with umbrellas because they've seen it on tv. What would your child do on a motorized scooter?
I've had a hard time trying to catch a four year old from running out into the street. I can just imagine how hard it would be for you to catch your child on a motorized vehicle.
In the state of Illinois if a motor is attached and being operated on the public way the operator must have a vehicle driver's license. You may wish to check your states laws to be certain.
