Where do you live in Mesquite and then from there we can get you into a troop. E-mail me and I'll help you. I am the registrar for our Service Unit.

Each city may have one or several service units that organize troops for an area. Below, T. S has encouraged you to contact her about joining a troop in her area. If you need additional assistance please contact Girl Scouts of North East Texas directly at www.gsnetx.org.
As for the critical comment below, please remember that Girl Scouts is run mostly by volunteers who are passionate about encouraging girls everywhere to lead and succeed. There is no monetary reward. Each volunteer has strengths and weaknesses. A successful troop not only has a passionate leader but an involved group of parents that help when they can. One of the best ways to support a troop is to organize a meeting with activities to meet several badge requirements. This gives the leader a break from organizing everything.
I know you asked a simple question on joining Girl Scouts so forgive a passionate leader for giving her 2 cents. I hope you have as wonderful experience as I have had with my girls.
Whatever you do... stay away from a troop that is on the southern side of Mesquite around the Cartwright / Pioneer area! The "leader's" name is Cheryl I believe. She is so disorganized and the meetings are useless.
Good luck finding a good scouts group - I have tried several with my daughter and son, and all of them are horrid!
