Monterey Aquarium

My husband and I lived there years ago, and we have taken our daughter to MBA each time we vist - big owie on the admission cost, but worth it if your kids love sea life!!! If you are staying overnight in Monterey, you can probably get discount tickets through your hotel. If not, I agree with the other mom below - contact the office and they might be able to direct you to a discount. I think AAA might give a small discount too, if you are a member. One page I read says that craigs list and ebay have tickets for sale - but not sure how reliable those are! Do you have access to an Entertainment book - those offer lots of BOGO admissions to different places

I googled the name of the aquarium plus the word discount and found a coupon page that might be helpful to you for this or other places (below) - and that was just the beginning - you might want to try too - I know I found a few pages like this last time we visited. You can also try just a city name and the word coupon or discount (I'd try both, one at a time- probably bring up different things...) Good luck!!! :-)

If you live near enough to go a few times a year, consider a membership - higer upfront cost but it will probably save you big bucks!

The yearly pass for the Monterey Bay Aquarium might be a better deal for you. It is a bit more than the one addmission, but pays for itself after two visits. You can get the family pass and it is for two adults and up to three kids. I think is is around 150. But since it last for a whole year, you can go on any weekend and during next summer. It is a fun place to visit over and over.

Seconding the PP who suggests getting a membership - if you go twice, it's paid for itself and any trips after that are a bonus :-). We go at least 2-3x a year so we've had a membership for the past 3-4 years (our kids are 9YO now and still love it!)

When we lived in Seaside we were members and had yearly passes.
Active duty military gets a discount if you buy through your ITT office.
It is an amazing aquarium, probably my favorite museum in America. I really miss it here in VA.

The entry fees, I'm pretty sure, go right back into the aquarium itself and research/preservation for the bay's aquatic marine life.

Not sure if they still do but they used to give a discount for having a AAA card.

There's a little secret. If you have a Watsonville driver's license (you might need a Watsonville library card as well) and go to the Watsonville library you can get 6 free passes at the beginning of the month. I know they are doing it in Sept., but I don't know if they do it every month. They are first come, first serve and go really quick. I don't have a Watsonville address on my license so I'm not creative any competition for myself. haha I have 2 friends that have done this!
