If it's just an intital, I would chose "B" for her name.
Otherwise, you can find the word nana (in silver at Wal-Mart).
I love a necklace that i think would look gorgeous on my mom. It only has room for one initial. Should i do "B" for her first name Barbara? or "N" for Nana since it's a gift from her granddaughter?

I vote "B".
Otherwise she will constantly explain the "N" to people.
B for Barbara.
Think of it this way, if you had an initial necklace, would you rather it be "D" for D., or "M" for Mom? I would rather it be my name than a title. Of course, you know her better, she may truly adore being called Nana and just love talking about her grandbaby to everyone. Everyone has a different preference. Regardless, I think she will love it either way.
I vote N if its from the grandbaby
i say N its from her granddaughter so N for nana and if people ask her what the N is for it will be even more speacial for her to get to point out and "brag" that it stands for Nana and its from her sweet grand daughter
I kind of like "N", only because I think it makes a nice story. But, if she really doesn't go for that kind of thing, go w/"B". Either one would be nice. You know her best, so try to think like she would! Can you put a picture in it? That would be especially cute w/the baby's pic and the "N"!
p.s. I may "borrow" the "N" idea! :)
Does she like things like that? I personally am not a fan of that type of jewlery. No "mother's rings", charm bracelets, name necklaces, ect. Just something to consider...
definately do the B!
I too think B and this coming from someone who loves this kind of thing. I think that no one else would know what it meant and that is the whole point, to let everyone know something. I would definitely go with B or better yet find one that says Nana on it.
I vote for "B" since that is her name. I agree with the previous post that if you want to do Nana you could find one that actually says that. Just an opinion!
