At my last job, lots of people used Monarch, and I didn ot hear anything good about them. I cant remember exaclty but I think lots of it was reshcedueling, service, etc. Mainly staffs customer service, not so much the dental work itself
Hi everyone,
I have Aetna dental ins. and unfortunately the only place that is in-network for us is Monarch dental. Have any of you had experiences with this chain of offices, if so, what was your experience? Also, if you took small kids (under age 6) what was the offices like for them?
Thanks for all your input!!!

My insurance is very similar and we recently had to switch my kids over to Monarch. We use the clinic in Rowlett which is fairly new and had a good experience. However, I have heard and read reviews about some others that were not so great. However, the dentist was very nice and my 3 y/o son had to see her and he liked her. The only thing I was not comfortable with was the dentist asking us to step outside of the room while she worked on his tooth. I'm not sure if thats normal for a dentist to ask the parents to step out but I know his last dentist NEVER asked us to do so. We could still see him but I still didn't feel great about it so I think if it happens again then we won't go back.
Well, besides that everything was really good there. They were even able to fix a slighgtly chipped tooth on my DS first appointment which I liked and the tooth looks great!
Good luck to you.
Monarch Dental was nothing but trouble for me. They are way over-priced. I have Aetna and use Jana Harrison in Plano off Coit and Spring Creek. She is at Millennium Dental.
Hi H.,
I went to Monarch a few years ago when I had Aetna. My experience was actually very good. I was worried because I hadn't heard many good things, but it was the only option for my insurance. I think maybe it differs from one office to the next. I saw Dr. Tran at the Casa Linda office (in the White Rock area) and she was wonderful. As far as taking the kids, I really can't say. They didn't have the t.v. or play area for kids that my current dentist has. Good luck!
