i found out in April of this year that i have the ovalatory cysts and was put on BC for ONE month with Naproxen to help with pain and a follow up US after my menstrual in May showed no signs of anything and the first week of july we found out im preg with number 2. my dr wanted me on BC for 3 mths but since we were trying to get preg again he suggested one month and here we are 10 weeks pregnant with number 2. the naproxen eased up my pain enough to get through each day, i had to take 2 a day to survive and had to quit my job because it made me too drowsy to do anything but to me it was worth it b/c now after a year of trying im finally preg... good luck

I don't have any personal experience with this but I did have a coworker/friend that tried to get pregnant for well over a year, and didn't succeed naturally. She had endometriosis, and a myriad of other issues. They tried birth control to rid her body of the cysts and endometriosis. I can't even recall at this time every method they attempted, but they all seemed to fail. They finally went through several grueling IVF treatments and are now 6 months pregnant with a little boy.

My above might not have sounded too promising, but my point is this. I literally watched my friend and coworker fall apart. I witnessed her marriage struggling. I saw her tears, and her pain. She wanted a baby so badly. She was only 25 years old. She was in her baby making prime...so why, why couldn't she conceive?

Do not let this tear apart your life. They went through a lot of pain, much longer than 2 months of it. You already have a blessing, they had none. She was a miserable, horrible wreck. No one deserves to live like she did. Every month she went through blood work to see if the implants took, and everytime they didn't, she ran from the office in tears. My heart ached for her.

You will get pregnant. Try not to worry, try not to stress. Be happy with your family.

I have endometriosis and also had trouble conceiving. Eventually I had laprascopic surgery to cauterize the endometriosis places. Then, for the following six months I took Lupron injections, which sends your body into a chemical menopause. This keeps you from ovulating, or having periods for the six months while your uterus heals from the surgery and makes your uterus fresh as a daisy! The very first month I stopped the Lupron injections we had success! And, after our first child was born...I guess we thought we were 'bullet proof' because it had taken so much effort to get the first one, but guess what? After delivering a baby...your uterus is again 'fresh as a daisy' and perfect for conceiving again! So, 15 months later, baby # 2 was born. And, 6 years later...surprise baby # 3 was born! It can be done. Sometimes you just have to help Mother Nature along. And, in my case...after the surgery and Lupron injections...never another problem with conceiving. I still have the endometriosis, but I also have three healthy children. Good Luck!

I had this when trying to conceive baby #2. We tried for 18mo and I finally went to my dr and told her how much pain I was in and how heartbreaking it was to not get pregnant month after month. She told me to tough it out another SIX months and THEN come talk to her about treatment options!! I was so upset. I decided to take a break from baby making. Of course we got pregnant right away.

Some herbs that might help with your pain are Vitex aka Chaste Tree Berry. It helps regulate the reproductive hormones. Also Evening Primrose Oil. It helps reduce inflamation and may prevent cysts. Red Raspberry Leaf and Flax Seed Oil also have similar properties. Best of luck!

V.,

You're time will come, I promise. I have had endo for 8 years, having 5 surgeries and being on Danocrin (menopause meds) 3 times, the last time being in March of this year. I had a laparoscopy May 22, 2007 and they found 2 large cysts, hence my pain, thankfully not endo, and when I went back to the doc 2 weeks later to do my follow up and advise him we wanted more kids, he said go for it. We did, I'm pregnant, 13 weeks, and couldn't be happier!!!! I do have to tell you that with all my problems, my doc told me I had a 5% chance of ever becoming pregnant, lots of scar tissue and damage from endo, but I got pregnant the first time as soon as we started trying. Just keep at it, that's the fun part!! Try not to be stressed out about it, that doesn't help at all!! If the pain is the problem, talk to your doctor, they may decide to do surgery to remove the painful cysts, though most do heal themselves!! Let me know if you need any more advice, I've been through this so I completely understand everything you've been through!!!

I have ovarian cysts and they told me that it would be very hard for me to get pregnant and I have a beautiful 5 year old boy. But my husband and I are having a lot of problem getting pregnant again. And I really don't have a good explaination on what to do. The doctors have told me that I need to take fertility drugs and my husabnd is dead set against it. So I my thoughts and prayers are with you.
