At www.meetup.com there are a couple of JoCo groups. Hope this helps.
This is for a friend of a friend. She works full-time, has 2 young children lives around 117th and Pflumm?? or so and is having a hard time finding a group of friends/support. Aworking mom's group may be best, but mother's with young children would be good too, I would think.

I am in a group called Mothers & More. We are a national group, and we do just that support moms whether they are working or not, paid or unpaid, young and older children. We have many evening "Mom" activities that range from dinners out, or educational meetings on topics that affect women (not just as mom's but as women). We have couple's nights, playgroups, you name it, we have it, and we have a TON of fun. Probably the most beneficial part of our chapter is our yahoo chat group. Everyone in the group is connected (almost 100 members) to each other 24 hours a day via the internet. This is great if you need advise on Doctors, or just need to vent, or looking for an appropriate gift for a friend, etc.
This group was a real life savor for me when I moved to Kansas from Michigan. I didn't know anyone, and at the time wasn't working, so I didn't have any way to meet people. I joined, and now have many really good friends, and we have new members join all the time, so everyone is bound to bond with someone. In case you can't tell I'm a little pationate about Mothers & More if you have any further questions feel free to ask. We have something going on every Tuesday evening for sure, then other things throughout the week as well.

Hope this helps, M.
I don't know of any working mother's group in the area that I'm familiar with. I would suggest that your friend post on this website and suggest an interest to those in the area to meet and get together for a playdate with the kids. I live off of 159th and Plumn and would love to meet and visit...I have a 22 month old son, Bob and another baby on the way...I also participate in a playgroup with 5 other mothers...but it's mainly during the the day on Fridays. The children all range from 22months to 6 years.
Have you ever heard of MOPS? (mothers of preschoolers)
We are a group of working moms that support one another. We meet the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month from 6:30-8:30 pm at a local Olathe church. Our first meeting of the year is coming up on September 14. Please e-mail back if your friend is interested!
