Hello ladies. So here is the problem, we rent a home and ever since the weather has warmed up (if you can call it that) my daughter has been sick 5 times, I have been sick 5 times(not to mention I am pregnant) and my husband has been sick twice. Here is the issue, we found mold in the sub basement and we are thinking that it could be causing the illnesses. What I need is someone to come take a look and let us know what kind and if it in other places we cannot see. The phone book has so many people and I just want the issue resolved. So if you know of someone trustworthy I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

What can I do next?

Hi K., Call your landlord mold in the sub-basement is an issue that he should be dealing with ASAP! If he won't deal with it you should look for a new place to either rent or own. Best wishes.

K.,
Maybe you should tell your landlord? I think it's up to him (them) to address the mold issue. It will be costly and involved. I had a friend go through this when she lived in Florida and it was a pretty big deal. She had water dripping from her furnace onto a concrete wall and even though it was contained, it was expensive to have it removed. Maybe fire restoration companies?
