We had major water damage in our basement from last spring, and had mold. I too am highly allergic to it, and suffer from asthma due to it. Anyways, we contacted Curt with Mold Inspection Specialists and he did an AWESOME job for us. He is very thorough, as well as being a nice person. Here is a link to his company http://www.moldinspectionspecialists.com/index.html. He explained our test results and yes we did have toxic mold in our home. Since our place is really old, and we had mold due to old pipes leaking as well (weren't aware of it), we hired a Mold Remediation company that removed it. In our case, we just gutted the basement, we were planning on remodeling someday anyways, and now we can see our basement is mold free. By the way, the two companies do NOT work together.
