M.M.
I had planned on buying it until I learned a mother and little girl get blown up by terrorists. I have to draw the line somewhere and that is where it is at. My kids said, "Ok" when i told them. I think it bothered them as well.
So here's my question: how many families have gamers glued to their systems today.....& probably for the rest of the week?
Both of my sons & all of their friends have disappeared into GameWorld. They each have their own systems...an XBox 360 & a PS3. Their bedrooms are across from each other .....& the comments are flying fast.
I told my best friend that my DH & I could probably have monkey s*x in the living room, & our sons would never know.....lol.
Moving on to the next question: as a child/teen, did you have a fav hobby/activity as soul-snatching as these game systems? For me, I remember looking forward to the latest episode of Scooby Doo & The Brady Bunch. & that's about it! Well, other than my Trixie Belden books!
It's going to be a looong week!
***whoops, I need to add: zero out-of-pocket for me! Both paid for their own games. +they are diligent about cashing in their old games. Best part of using GameStop!
good grief: night #1 & my older son has already "beat" the main level.....I just tuned him out....:)

My husband wants it but hasn't gotten it yet. I HATE HATE HATE those games. My DH gets so angry and cusses so much when playing. And he lets our 7 year old so watch and I hate that. He lets him play on practice mode or whatever and I'm still against that, but I guess obviously I don't have any say because he still lets him do it. Sometimes I wish the PS3 would break down. But then we'd probably have to shell out the money for another one :o
The 11 yr old is upstairs right now killing everything in sight, LOL. He also has a huge Social Studies test on Thursday.... so he knows the penalty of a bad grade ;)
Oh my, another XBOX widow... I feel your pain ;)
I used to play old school nintendo... with game genie. The only games I would play... and cheat with... were The Little Mermaid, the ORIGINAL Mario Brothers, and no cheating necessary, TETRIS, LIKE A BOSS!!
Yep - 2 boys and their dad, lol! *sigh*
not ours. I didn't rush out to buy it. My kids are upset. but oh well!!!
They will get it for Christmas...if they can't wait that long..they can earn the money to buy it themselves!!!
Hubby will be when he gets home Friday. I like to watch him play MW and hes going to be getting another game Friday... I don't remember what it is called but I'm going to be buying it for him. We both play video games a lot so I really can't be mad because I have done the same thing.
Oh we own it.
It is sitting here next to me on the table still in its cellophane wrapper as my son's PS3 is currently broken (well the dang thing will do everything but play a game CD). Oh, yes, he is crushed - all of his friends are on-line playing it.
But, he pre-ordered it, did some trades, and I had already agreed to pay off the rest - he bought Resistance 3 on his own - before the machine broke. So, he had the option of my fixing the machine OR buying the game. Sony was willing to give him a free game of his choice as an "apology" for the broken PS3 so he could have gotten this dang game for free in 90 days. But he didn't want to wait. I can't figure out teen logic.
Dang, I feel kinda' bad for him. LOL I guess I will get the machine fixed for his Christmas present.
