Mixing Formulas???

My son-10 months old-had been on Enfamil formula (or the store version of) since I stopped nursing two months ago. Recently I received a pack of 3oz ready to use bottles of Good Start formula. I really hate to waste this, so I was wondering if I could take the 3oz ready made and add it to 5oz of powder mixed formula to make an 8oz bottle. I don't know if it will hurt his tummy, and I don't think it will, but I am wondering if anyone has done this and if it was a big deal or not. My son has had no trouble with any thing I have given him, no reactions to any foods. But I still don't want to take the chance. Any suggestions???

What can I do next?

hi

as long as he is on milk based formula
and that is milk based, it shoud be fine.
i have switched from time to time and never had any problem with all 4 of my kids.

My son had problems with the Enfamil and the Good Start was much easier for him to digest. Because it is a ready to go bottle you DO NOT want to mix it with more formula to make a bigger bottle. It is best not to mix two different formulas together as they have different formulations. Just use it as it is and you'll be able to see if it agrees with him even better! ;0}

sounds like it could end up thick, idk, i never used formula, but why not just mix 3 of the 3oz bottle together in one big bottle, then you wont have to worry about mixing the 2 different products together?

Hi P.

Absolutely you can mix them. At 10 months old his stomach is a lot stronger than you think and if he has a good stomach so far, I think he will be fine. Try one bottle first to see how he does with it. I'm sure he'll be fine. I've done the same thing with all 3 of my children and none of them had a reaction. Good luck
