You''ll find most mothers have. I actually quit counting, which may sound heartless, but it was the only way I could protect myself. There was a time I was miscarrying every other month. My unborn daughter, though, I carried the longest. A little past 6 months. Her loss will always, or at least has always for 12 years now, stayed with me.

Miscarriage in this country is a taboo topic. Where I grew up in Japan (most of my childhood was spent on military bases), there are actually whole cemeteries devoted to unborn children. The understanding and compassion in such a practice I sorely miss here in my own country.

I had 2 miscarriages between my 2nd and 3rd children each at about 7 to 8 weeks. After the 2nd miscarriage, the doctor said that if I miscarried again he would run tests. I know that I was overweight and was not eating right. It was so heartbreaking that we gave up and I got healthy again and then I finally got pregnant. I had lost 30 lbs and was eating the right foods. I actually got pregnant again when 3rd child was only 9 months old. Hang in there and relax.

I am so sorry. I have been there. I had a healthy boy with no problems during my pregnancy and then 3 miscarriages in a row while trying for #2. The first was at 12 weeks (although the baby apparently passed around 10 weeks). Turned out the baby had trisomy 14. The next one happened at 6 weeks and the 3rd at 10 weeks. We did another d&c on the 3rd and the baby had trisomy 20. They did a bunch of tests on me and my husband and everything was normal. I started taking a folic acid combo with vitamin b called folate and went on the fertility diet. I got pregnant 3 months later without trying and I now have a baby girl. I did end up with low progesterone in my pregnancy and needed to supplement that. It will happen for you. Sometimes we have bad luck along the way.

That happened to a friend of mine; pregnant first try then struggled for #2 and had two miscarriages around the same time (8 weeks I think).
They did are a fertility specialist and ran tests and got some great advice/intervention and managed to get pregnant on their "hail Mary" attempt before starting injections, etc.
She did take progesterone during the first few months to help prevent miscarriage.
Good luck, many women miscarry and go on to have healthy pregnancies, you know you can do it because you have so don't get discouraged. Easier said than done though....

I suffered a miscarriage before my 1st daughter and several before my 2nd daughter. Have you and your hubby had genetic counselling? I ask because I have a hereditary autoimmune disorder that causes my blood to clot. Blood clots are among the leading cause of miscarriages. There are tons of reasons for miscarriages...some they just haven't figured out yet. You may want to speak with your OB about genetic counselling to make sure you and hubby's genes are compatible. Are you bleeding/cramping? If not and the concern is your HCG not doubling, you may not be losing your baby. My levels NEVER doubled with any of my pregnancies and DR's told me some women have lower HCG levels which rise but do not double or triple. As long as they are rising you should be ok. A friend of mine also had low rising HCG levels and her DR told her the pregnancy was not viable and wanted to do a D&C. She told them she wanted to wait a week and check the numbers again. Still rising but very slowly, DR again suggested D&C. My friend insisted on sono prior to making any decision. They did the sono and there was her baby girl with a strong heatbeat. She is now a healthy 4 year old. Follow your instincts. Good Luck and God Bless.

Yes, I have had 4 similar miscarriages. Every test they offered and genetic testing came back that I am a perfect specimen for carrying children. Every test came back pristinely perfect. The doctor at the genetic counselor's office suggested a baby aspirin (81mg) a day. Wham! I am 13 weeks pregnant and have a healthy 20 month baby. It seems it was that simple in my case. Apparently I was throwing tiny blot clots that are insignificant to me but when we are talking the cellular level of a newly forming baby it was detrimental. Best wishes. I am certain the doctors will figure it out for you.

Im sorry, a MC is always sad , you need to relax, take vitamins and just wait for a good pregnancy .....there's nothing to do in that short time,
I had one at 9 weeks and in the hospital didn't do anything but to give me tylenol......it took an entire year to get pregnant again just when I say :
I'm going not to think about it no more ........maybe you are to much stressed on getting pregnant.....good luck !

I had 2 miscarriages--both around 10-12 weeks before I had my son. It was a progesterone thing. Talk to your doctor. Sorry you are going through this. I know it's tough.

Honey, I'm sorry. I had my 1st daughter just fine, then 5 years later had an ectopic. Took us another year to concieve our 3 year old after that. Then this year I had 2 miscarriages at 6 weeks back to back (May 31 and then July 11th). When we decide to brave trying again I'm praying that everything will be ok. They think that a virus caused mine, but we'll find out when we try again if that's true or not...

I'm so sorry! I'm going through the same thing. We had 5 healthy children, then couldn't get pregnant for over 2 years. When we did get pregnant in September we miscarried at 5 weeks, then we got pregnant again in December and miscarried again at 6 weeks. :-(
During the second miscarriage my doctor looked at my ovaries via ultrasound and showed me the pictures. They are covered in cists. He diagnosed me with PCOS and explained to me what that meant. Basically, I need to eat like a diabetic, no sugar, low carb. PCOS and insulin resistance go hand in hand, so if I don't change the way I eat I will become a diabetic. :-(
Good news is that when I eat the way I'm supposed to I loose weight fast and easy. More good news is that when a person with PCOS looses weight and eats right her body is usually able to get pregnant and stay pregnant again.
So perhaps ask your doctor about PCOS and they can have a look at those ovaries just to make sure.
God bless.

I'm so sorry for your losses. I too had 2 early miscarraiges (Aug & Dec 2009). I was about 4-5wks with the first and 6ish weeks with the second. After the second my doctor ran some tests - the first set included some tests for blood clotting issues. Turns out I tested positive for MTHFR & Heterozygous Factor V Lieden Mutation. So basically there were clots causing the embryos to not attach properly or something like that. I started taking baby aspirin daily and was told that when I got pregnant I'd have to start taking a blood thinner daily by injection. I'm happy to say I'm 34 1/2 wks pregnant with baby boy #2. I did have problems getting pregnant with my first (PCOS), but once I did I had NO problems with my pregnancy, delivery, or post partum. Never in my life had a blood clot, so the diagnosis of clotting issues came as a surprise. See if your OB will run some blood tests to try to find the problem. Good luck!

I know how you feel and I am sorry for your loss. I have a healthy 17 month old and like you, I got pregnant the first time trying with my son. It took us 3 months to get pregnant with baby #2 and miscarried at 8 weeks and we are currently trying again and it's been two months an no luck yet. Hang in there.

This happened to me too. I had 7 early miscarriages during the 18 months I tried for a second baby. This is called secondary infertility since you have one child but are having difficulty having a second child. Unfortunately many doctors are not sympathetic because "you have one child, what are you complaining about?" I heard that one so many times... My first son I was pregnant the second month we tried, so it was so frustrating.

I went through every kind of fertility test imaginable, and they could find absolutely no reason why I kept miscarrying. I felt very strongly I was meant to have another child, so I turned to alternative medicine. I did acupuncture and herbal remedies for 5 months. After that, I got pregnant and it stuck. Although when I did get pregnant, I went back to the fertility clinic so they could put me on progesterone and monitor the pregnancy. That baby is now almost 5.

Hold the vision knowing you are meant to have a second baby, and follow your intuition to get whatever help you feel you need. And find a fertility clinic that will support you instead of telling you, "You've already got one..."

Good luck!

I am 21 and i have a 2 year old daughter and me and my husband started trying end of last year for another one and got pregnant and the begining of dec. i miscarried at 6 wks. I stopped bleeding on dec. 10th and i ovulated right after and got pregnant again immediatly. So i was so scared i might miscarry again since i didnt have a period first. I am now 2 months with a healthy baby. My doctor said the main reason miscarries happen early is there is a chromosomal abnormality and your body just aborts the baby since theres something wrong with it. Usually after 3 miscarries they will do testing.

I have two kids, 3 and 6 months with two miscarriages in between. Its very common. Try not to think worse case scenario, but go ahead with any tests your Dr. recommends. I also feel I got pregnant faster by applying Natural Family Planning. You may like to check that out by reading "Taking Charge of your Fertility". Sorry you are in the midst of this. I remember it well and am sending you a big warm cyber hug.
