I have been on Mirena for the past 6 months and my cycles have been normal and on time. Little lighter but still pretty much normal. I was expected to start on the 20th like clockwork..but I only had extremely and i do mean extremely light spotting for one day. So no cycle to speak of...

How long did it take for your cycle to stop? Did it just stop one day like that?

Has you or anyone get preg while on mirena?

I have been on antibiotics but did not think that it would affect an IUC.

What can I do next?

I have been on Mirena for 3 years now. My period stopped in, I believe, the second or third month I had it. I have spotted very lightly every now and again, maybe 2 or 3 times per year.

I have had the Mirena the first time for 5 years then had it changed out back in Sept. and I did not even have another cycle.

After the initial 5-6 weeks of light on/off spotting, I never had a period with Mirena. After I had it removed, it took almost 2 months before I had a period again. If you aren't having any other symptoms of pregnancy, you probaly aren't pregnant. Of course, no birth control is 100%. Check with your doctor if you are really concerned, though.

I have had the Mirena for almost 2 years. It took a while for my cycles to stop. Well I would not even call them that. I would bleed off and on and never know when to expect it. Now at almost 2 years some months I don't have any bleeding, sometimes I just spot and other months a have a horrible period. I hate never knowing what to expect. Once I did not have anything for 2 months and was getting a little worried but was not preg. I could never remember to take the pill so after my third child I welcomed the mirena, I guess its worth it.

I seriously doubt that you are pregnant, but anything is possible. Mirena is known to stop your periods.

My cycle stopped after 7 months. I've heard that you can still get pregnant but I had a wonderful experience and never had any problems with the Mirena. Good luck!

I've been on it two years. My cycles got progressively lighter and shorter. After a few months (less than a year) they stopped completely.

My period disappeared the second month. You can get pregnant on in...but then again you can with any birth control...there is no 100% (except abstinence...that's no fun) :)

I had a friend of mine who did get pregnant on Mirena. It's not a 100%. I would take a test. Or maybe your cycles are just getting less and less, which I've heard happens.
