Minivan Recommendations? - Cherry Hill,NJ

Hello,
We are considering taking the plunge and getting a minivan now that our 2 kids have started activities and carpooling is becoming more practical and necessary. We currently have an SUV and can barely fit one more booster in the middle of the back seat. Does anyone have a minivan they love/recommend? We are looking at the Toyota Sienna since it is highly rated, but I feel that the best recommendations come from those who have them!!! Thank you!

What can I do next?

Love, love, love my Sienna! We had the same problem with our SUV (couldn't fit more than our two kids in the back). Bought a Sienna almost 2 years ago and I can't say enough good things about it. They really have thought of everything when it comes to this vehicle. You won't be disappointed.

I have a 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan...I love all the things about it except the maintenance. We are in the market for a new minivan...

We are considering the Kia Sedona, Honda Odyssey, Volkswagon Tourag and the Toyota Sienna. Call your insurance company to find out the rates for what you are considering, it might make a difference in what you decide to purchase. In order to do that - you will need a VIN to give to them.

We have a neighbor that has a 2010 Sienna and loves it. She doesn't like the "tub" in the back, but has come to tolerate it. At least her groceries don't fall around!! :)
We have a neighbor that has a 2009 Odyssey and loves it.

Take the van home and see if the equipment you have for sports fits in it. I can tell you how much I love the room in my van, but if you are skiing or some other sport where there's a lot of equipment, it might not work for you.

When we bought our van, we took our car seats and stroller with us. If the car seat and stroller didn't work easily - it wasn't an option. So I would recommend that you take the van home - test drive - to see if all of your STUFF fits in it and if it drives differently with the weight, etc.

GOOD LUCK!!

We had a Chrysler Town and Country and loved it, but once it hit 80,000, things started to break. We considered purchasing another one, but they've gone up in price and are no longer a good value.

We just purchased a Toyota Sienna 3 weeks ago, and were enjoying it. With the model we just purchased it has two captain seats in the center (love this feature - I would not get the 2nd row bench), but if necessary we can make the 2nd row into a bench if I need to carry 8 passengers, which would have saved us from taking 2 cars on some of our previous outings.

We have friends who have an older Honda Oddyssey and love it. I know it has over 150,000 miles and is still going strong. We considered one, but hubby just didn't feel comfortable in the driver's seat, and Toyota was offering the 1.9% financing so overall a much better deal.

I love, love my Sienna. I know my family is safe and the ride is awesome. I have had many junkers in my life, so I really appreciate this one. Go and drive one and you will be amazed at the ride and if the salesman shows you the engine (which I didn't think I cared about) you will be amazed at Toyota's technology.
Good luck!

I love our Honda Odyssey Touring --fully loaded. We got ours used, with 12k miles on it, and saved ourselves over 13k off the cost of a new.

I didn't like the feel of the Sienna, and the Toyota dealers kept trying to upsell us. Really pissed hubby and I off, so we walked away from a new purchase and decided to buy a used Honda (since the Honda's cost more).

I love my minivan!

Do NOT buy a Kia. You can't go wrong with Toyota. Make sure you get a VIN and check your insurance rate before you buy. Good luck.
